Shel notes on Ukraine:

Ukraine is pretty straightforward. The country is divided. Half the country supports the current president who is pro-Russia. The other half of the country (lead by the boxer) supports a more pro-EU country. The current president signed a deal that was much more pro-Russia and people started protesting. Things have escalated from there.

He took money from Russia to bail out the economy, which puts him in Russia's debt and will lead to Russia having a ton of influence on the nation. They want him to step down and he refuses to even negotiate w Klitschko's group. It could end up with a civil war and the region of Crimea could break away and become independent. They are filled w mostly ethnic Russians and are pro-Russia.

Maybe I am oblivious and naive but that stuff just sounds so far out there as a little sheltered American.

I couldnt imagine Canada giving us a zillion dollars and then civil war breaking out in our own nation again.

Why do you think so many people (right or wrong) fight for gun rights/against gun control?

At least they're willing and able to stand up for themselves. In places like North Korea, China, and Russia, you even say something bad about the government and you disappear. Klitschko, to his credit, is trying to stop the violence but both sides are refusing to back down and just keep escalating the situation.

As for us taking money from Canada....we take money every day from China. And we have a lot of people in this nation who protest against it. Just not violently, and just not enough.

I didn't do much of anything around the house. But now with the wife doing the bulk of the dirty work with the boys and the bulk of the housework, just taking out the trask and mowing the lawn isn't gonna cut it any more.
+1. Just the wife and I. Never touched laundry. Add two kids I'll help with whatever needs to be done.
Unless you are on COD with a beer in your hand...

George is the cod drinker. I try and get all chores done prior to getting on. She knows once the game chair comes out and I am in it don't ask.
There is nothing wrong with enjoying 6-10 beers or some crown and cokes while enjoying shooting someone in the face. I will never be drunk as Mike was the other night.

I just saw on the news that the opposing forces have now taken over Kiev, and the president has left the city.

Though from the pictures they showed of Kiev, there doesn't seem to be much left.

That's crazy.

Again, just imagine a group of people taking over the white house and Obama fleeing the country

It's honestly unheard of but seems normal in most of these other countries

You absolutely will. Made the mistake of letting the wife pick the movie last weekend.

It's in the WOAT category. Hopefully you're on a nice TV, that'll be the one redeeming quality.

Our president doesn't flee the country, he just gets up above 30,000 feet in Air Force One accompanied by a few Air Force jets.

I think it's about impossible to not look like an idiot when you're trying to get that last ice cube stuck to the bottom of the cup

Yeah, they are both awful. White House down was a little better than Olympus has Fallen. The special effects in OHF were atrocious.

Tried snow boarding for the first time this weekend. My ass feels like I was mounted by a horny elephant. The rest of my body hurts just as much. Going again next weekend because I am a glutton for punishment.

If I ever had an option to move anywhere in the country, Colorado would be in my top 3.

Not because of the weed either. :)

In some order, if I dont take family proximity into effect:

Colorado
Pacific Northwest
Rural Michigan on a lake
Flagstaff
Florida
Texas
