whats the hate for Cousins for?packsyD22 wrote: I think he's an excellent rebounder defender and unlike cousins before him isnt some punk bitch who won't continue to work on his game.
he's a monster. i don't know many players who have improved as quickly and as much as he has this year.

Re: Final 4 Thread
I found it amazing his HS team went 6-19 his senior year. Like who was he playing with a bunch of blind kids?
Re: Final 4 Thread
I'm sure he has but he's a punk. No doubting that but a very nice talent. Great passer as well.DRiccio21 wrote:whats the hate for Cousins for?packsyD22 wrote: I think he's an excellent rebounder defender and unlike cousins before him isnt some punk bitch who won't continue to work on his game.

Re: Final 4 Thread
i already have another tab up with all the players who have played 40+ games with 25+ minutes per game and their shot % between 3-9 and 10-15 for comparison.shel311 wrote:DRiccio21 wrote:thats impressive then.

you arent allowed to form opinions with your own eyes Pat. Didnt you get the memo!packsyD22 wrote:I am well aware he was a pg until his spurt. I'm well aware his high school team sucked. I am well aware of a lot of things.
Look I've formulated an opinion on his offensive ability and how I think it will translate early in his career. I think he's an excellent rebounder defender and unlike cousins before him isnt some punk bitch who won't continue to work on his game.
I simply have an opinion based on what I've seen this season and although I'm sure he will get better none of us really know. So simmer down my man....I'm sure he will be a fine nba player....but I think he will struggle to score at the next level early.

Then I can respect that opinion, but I disagree w it. It came across as you saying that he isn't worthy of the #1 pick because of how he shot. He's a freakish athlete who is a game-changer on defense and has explosive leaping ability, instinct, and has more hustle and heart than anybody I've seen come through Lexington in the last 15 years, outside of Chuck Hayes and Kidd-Gilchrist (reason we won the title was those two's hustle and heart).
@Dave--not sure, stat I saw just said "jump shots", not dunks/layups/etc. That said, most of his jumpers were in the 10-20 foot range, like the one he hit on the baseline last night.
@BigMike--he wasn't being recruited much as a PG. When he hit the growth spurt, it changed his game and how he impacted the game.

S23: ECU 12-2

don't be bitter. i constantly say everyone is entitled to their own opinions.ajalves wrote: you arent allowed to form opinions with your own eyes Pat. Didnt you get the memo!
i just prefer to have very few opinions because i'm not as smart as you guys who know better than what actually happens on the court. you guys see the stuff that doesn't exist, i'm hoping one day i can get to that level.

He is talented, but watch him post up against a strong defender with good size. I am sure he will get stronger and develop further, but right now most NBA power forwards would push him around in the post.
Re: Final 4 Thread
I won't argue that he needs to strengthen the lower body a bit. But the NBA trainers will work w him on that. That said, he's got a body type like JaVele McGee and he's done ok.

Re: Final 4 Thread

The asterisk on the 8 is important. You know, for when they need to vacate their tourney appearance in a few years.
Re: Final 4 Thread
hey whats the asterisks over the 8 for?
