But honestly this coach is no different than a serial killer. He should be executed for all the crap that he did to these boys. And to all the people that stood by and didntspeak shame on them aswell thats ridiculous!

For once we agree on something, mark it down!

Although I disagree with the execution, that's too easy. As a survivor I have always been of the belief that they need to suffer like their victims suffer. Yes, we deal with a lot of anquish and pain, but that's what makes it more justified to keep them alive--let them feel that same pain and fear. Execution lets them off the hook. Like Peay said, if he doesn't off himself, he'll get what he deserves in gen pop....and then he'll probably off himself. Saves a ton of taxpayer money if it goes that way. Executions are expensive.

He didn't kill their chances to have a normal life. Does this make it harder? God yes....trust me, it took me 15 years to get the help I needed; had I not gotten it, I'd be in prison or dead right now. I was a horrible kid and horrible person, and I tried to kill myself twice. But I got help and I am a fully functioning adult and have a "normal" life. many of the things you listed, they happen unfortunately, but it CAN be overcome.

I heard a few years ago about a convicted serial kiddie rapist in Turkey. They're punishment was to hang him, dismember his body, throw the parts in a barrel of acid, and bury the barrel in concrete. Say what you will about barbarism and so forth, but you can't tell me that won't dissuade any future kiddie rapists.

Shouldn't have done him the favor of hanging him first.

Not really. All the bad stuff was post mortem. Plus these people aren't wired the same. Things like that wont deter them. They don't care the consequences.

And now reports out that he had access to the PSU locker rooms as late as last week....

To hell with JoePa. He's just as wrong in this as anybody.

Exactly. JoePa covered for him, and if they can prove it he should go to prison as well for obstruction of justice and enabling a pedophile.

Some comments I have scraped from various places about this situation.

"I read the grand jury report in the Penn State scandal. Don't. Seriously, unless you want to argue in any way that this isn't a big deal, don't even start. It's 23 pages of stomach-churning horror that will ruin the rest of your week and lessen your faith in mankind. This is one bell you don't want rung."

"Yes, if Sandusky really did get caught sodomizing a boy in the shower, and if he really did use the university to set up his own personal sexual abuse farm system, nothing Paterno has done will matter anymore and his legacy will first and foremost be about letting this happen under his watch."

"This isn’t about a few players trading away some trinkets for tattoos. This isn’t a dad asking for money for his son’s services. This isn’t some phoney-baloney “scandal” that violates an arcane set of self-serving, made-up corporate rules. This isn’t Duke lacrosse, and this is far bigger and far uglier than Notre Dame’s bumbling of the Declan Sullivan and Elizabeth Seeberg tragedies. This is about evil."

All I know is I am putting Paterno on my 2012 Death Pool. There is no way he lives through this if he make sit through this calendar year.

I'm really shocked at the cheering and such. And maybe it's just me, but isn't this all a bit strange that Joe is trying to get in front of cameras and he's trying to have a press conference, yet the school nixed it? Did you see the video of Scott Paterno talking to the media in front of his home?

And here's another one of Joe that was recently posted:

I am just starting to listen to this and read up on it.

Paterno included. They should all go down. But that will not do any justice to what should really happen to them.

Those cheering remind me of these Occupy Wall Street people. Just idiots.

Good Lord This is going to get ugly.

I have never liked the man but now knowing what he knew that happened over 9 years ago (just one incident) cmon they all knew IMO.

sad...

I DONT EVEN LIKE PENN STATE IN THIS LEAGUE.. :x xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What is Joe trying to get away with? I'm confused at all of these people saying JoePa should go down, and all that stuff (no you specifically Dave).

He found out about what happened on a Friday on Saturday, immediately made a call, and talked about it on Sunday up the chain of command. The President and VP both told him they'd take care of it, then lied about it and covered it up, but told him that it was taken care of. He did exactly what he was supposed to do.

People say he should have called the police, but he wasn't the one that witnessed the act, so he did exactly what he was supposed to do, and was then assured by the President and the VP (now going to jail) that it was taken care of. There's 0 evidence of him covering anything up, and there's 0 evidence of him knowing more than what he told.

The man is old, and as many often joke about, oblivious to a lot of stuff. If he didn't see it happen, and no one told him about it, how is he supposed to know that it's going on?

Yes it happened on his watch, and yes the captain goes down with the ship, but for people to be angry and pissed at him I just don't understand. He did what he was supposed to do.

I could be way wrong, and it could come out that he knew, and at that point I'd completely reverse field, but I for one do not fault him for this, and I read the entire report.

Just my $.02, maybe I'm wrong.
