Rose goes 3/17... yikes!

Sixers offense was a thing of beauty, really good ball rotation... got Howard in serious foul trouble early.

Lakers improve to 9-1 on the season, sweeping the doubleheader with Minnesota (ggs doc). Derrick Rose was back to his normal self, with another near ohshit triple double, 13pts, 8 asts, 8 TOs. Of all people, it was defensive backup Avery Bradley that lead the Lakers in scoring, in the 2nd game.

The ATL Hawks have come out the gates strong but have dropped a pair late. The hawks have been labeled by there coach before the group even came together as the new Phi Slamma Jamma and they have lived up to up averaging 11.63 dunks per game. The team is lead by Foward Josh Smith who is putting up an amazing 25.5 ppg 5.6rpg 1.9bpg and as of late McGee has really come around with 11ppg 4.6rpg 2.4bpg. And they are dunking on people like nuggets in BBQ sauce.
They hawks overall are playing very well
29.5 reb
8.6 stl
6.6 blk
55.1 fg% league best
But even though they have played well things will have to change as the NBA does not fully like the way they are playing after a game they lost against the clippers in which they scored 66 of there 78 points (84%) in the paint. The hawks average 43.25 points in the paint which is 2nd in the league with 3 other teams in the 40's per and 2 teams in the 39's. But the hawks are jamming it 2 much with 11.63 dunks per game the next two are the wiz at 9.5 and the blazers at 8.75.
Seems with McGee coming along is when the numbers got up so the pressure will have to be placed back on lue Williams and Wayne Ellington. Lou has played well but has slumped as of late and with Lou best ability being going to the rack which the league would like the hawks around at the most 45-50% of there points to be in the paint doesn't look good for lue as he could tip them over the scale so Chris Paul once Famous back up Jannero Pargo could slide his way into the starting line up especially with his steady play thus far.
The hawks could look to make a trade to bring in a better fit for the new change if Williams doesn't play right after early talks the the hawks have already passed on Drose Dwight Gumby and Johnny Flynn.
Coach Daw1git would like everything done and flowing well again before conference games espically the wiz game because vt-James talks to much smack and I yeah jsence who has the best front court in the league.

Atlanta and Houston laugh at you.

I think Josh Smith alone is averaging about as many points as your entire frontline. That's not even factoring in McGee.

Thunder 69
Jazz 54

Thunder use a strong first quarter to jump out to an early 15-6 lead. They would use a very balanced scoring attack as Carlos Arroyo would lead the team with 13 points. DeAndre Jordan would also contribute a nice game with 6 pts, 8 rebs, 2 asts, 1stl and 2 blcks.

nice game dak!

Utah has put together an amazing three straight games where they've made missing lay-ups look like it is their job.

The management has stated that two more games like this and Utah will likely need a new coach. The team is relegated to wandering around the floor like zombies as Carmelo runs off of seventeen screens, including one set by the mascot, only to arrive at his designated shot position 15 seconds after the 24 second clock ran out.

Start sending in the trades because Utah will be selling soon.

1. Production trumps ratings IMO, and i'm guessing Daw's PF, SF, and C are outproducing your 3(could be wrong).

2. I dont know if there is an actual definition of frontcourt, but I've never considered SF as part of a frontcourt.

Yes front court is your forwards and center..most teams ran the 3 low or box set looking to maintain the rebounding triangle but most teams now run 3 out 2 in, 5 out or dribble drive offense and take more on players who can dribble and shot rather than rebound and bang down low.

Thunder 78
Wolves 70

What a game this was, the Thunder would get out to an early lead of 22-15 after the 1st quarter and in the 2nd quarter they would be struggling to find any kind of offense. That's when Gary Neal stepped up and told the coach to put him in. Coach Dealer did not object as he was not finding anyone to step up. Neal would come in and score 8 points in the 2nd quarter to help the Thunder keep their 7 point lead going into the half at 40-33. The second half would be a great battle, the Wolves would be beasts on D and total 11 blocks (seemed like a about 16 or 17 though!) late in the 4th the Wolves would cut it to 3 and that's when Dorell Wright would step up huge and hit 3 big 3's in a row to help bring the Thunder a W. What a tough battle and a great game...Raymond Felton had a terrible game in one aspect going 0-9 from the field but would dish out 14 assists. Wright would lead the way with 16 points and Crawford would chip in wth 15. Neal would be the big factor though as he would score 11 points off then bench after being only used in games that were already put away.

great game Doc! that was a lot of fun!!

In OT
Thunder 90
Lakers 82

Another great game as this one came all the way down to the last seconds of regulation. The Thunder would jump out to an early 18-10 lead after the 1st quarter, but would see that evaporate really quickly as by halftime they were only up 30-29. The 3rd quarter was played pretty even but the Lakers would have it tied at 51 going into the 4th quarter. The 4th quarter would be a battle back and forth but as we got close to the end of the game, Odom would hit a huge 3 with :07 left in the game to cut it to a 1 point Thunder lead. The Lakers would then foul Jamal Crawford who would make both free throws. Derick Rose who had not been hitting anything all game would then hit a 3 from the parking lot to tie it up with 1.2 remaining. The Thunder would then try and inbound to Crawford who would miss at the buzzer. In OT Crawford and Carl Landry would step up huge and score all 19 points for the Thunder. Crawford would score 12 and Landry would put in 7 to help the Thunder take down the Lakers. Landry would have a nasty dunk and 1 in OT. http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=5824870

great game Reign

He's listed as a SG on the website, which probably means he's a SG/SF on the game.

Either way, when I think of a team's frontcourt, I don't think of Stephen Jackson.

Yeah he can be used as a SG/SF but exactly like you said, you never hear anyone say "the front court play from stephen jackson is flawless."

SUNS 88
LAKERS 83

This was a fun ass game!!
Had a tough time stopping DRose shredding the Suns up for 24 pts 13 A and only 3 turnovers!
A battle all game long.
Brook Lopez showed up Bigtime for the Suns today as he had 30 points on 12-12 shooting, adding 7 rebounds, while netting 6 -6 from the charity stripe.

GG Reign!
