A few friends and I were discussing earlier how this season is already shaping up to be like 2007--major powers are struggling (Florida), crazy games all over the place....
...and now it's TRULY like 2007: we have a FCS team beating a BCS team (and not a cellar dwellar) at their home field.

Probably academic/behavior issues? Or maybe just a down year in Alabama HS football? I know sometimes you have a 2* or 3* prospect who is the best player in the state, it happens outside of the big five states sometimes (TX/FL/OH/PA/CA)

All I found real quick:
Maybe a big school wouldnt let him play both?? Or wanted to stay home?
Who knows
Blanchard is bound for Jacksonville State after initially deciding to play baseball for Mississippi State. He's hoping to play both sports

Completed 200 of 288 pass attempts for 2,924 yards and 35 touchdowns with three interceptions through 15 games and a state championship.
The senior rushed for 1,141 yards on 153 carries scoring 18 touchdowns.

found this:
You recently chose Jacksonsville State as your school. What was it about them that made you decide to attend school there?
Blanchard-" Because they have been there from the beginning. They have been there since anybody ever started recruiting me. I can play both baseball and football there. When they told me that, they sound sincere about it. I didn't get that feeling when other people told me that at other schools. I really trust the coaches at Jax St."
