I feel like every day I'm amazed by how stupid some people in positions of power can be(insert Trump joke here). How is it remotely possible that this officer did NOT know he was making a pretty horrible decision before he made it...I just don't get it.
Basically, dude runs from the cops, gets in a terrible accident and dies. Mind you, the patient in question here is not the perp, it's the victim from the crash with the perp. Cop wants a blood draw for the victim. Nurse clearly explains she can't because the patient is not able to consent and there is no warrant. Nurse even has Administration on the phone trying to facilitate. Cop says don't care, nurse is under arrest for not giving him what he's trying to obtain.

Don't know if it's true but i've read it seems to be that if the cops could show he had drugs in his system, it could have been a CYA thing for a potential lawsuit from said crash victim.

Get a warrant. Good for the hospital and the nurse.
