We grabbed some welding helmets and took a look. Pretty amazing. We were in a 99% area or somewhere close to that. I thought it was pretty awesome how it got dim and cool. Nick Saban doesn't know how cool this stuff is

i looked up at it cause im a moron. eyes were sore for a bit but thats what happens when you stare at the sun

Is there something inherent to the eclipse that makes it worse? Or is just that you always should not look at the sun but you're much more likely to do so during an eclipse?

Unless you had totality, you shouldn't look at an eclipse without glasses. We had 2 mins and 30s of totality. Was pretty cool thing.

my ignorant assumption. When i looked up the sun is bright. It instantly hurts the eys anyways cause you cant stare at it. I assume when the eclipse happens, its dark as shit, and youre staring up and boom, moon moves away and you get hit directly on your eyes with the suns power.
