as a ranger fan (lifelong not badwagon) there are two things bugging me.
1) Josh Johnson- His shoulder injury reminds me of Ubalo Jimenez. The rangers need to avoid this guy ecspecially if the price tag is Profar, Olt, or Perez anywhere involved. His K's and Velocity have both dropped considerably since the injury. Best case scenario for the Rangers is to go get James Shields and if you really want to go all in on someone make it RF Justin Upton in arizona. A guy that's 24 and under team control for multiple years. A nice replacement for my #2 issue.
2) Josh Hamilton- No i don't hate Josh's but this guy is becoming someone that most fans in Dallas are not too fond of. I relize the perception of him nationally is that of this great slugger with an amazing story who's now a Tebowesque role model for christians. Around here though alot of people are seeing the The truth that is he's just a guy and a greedy S.O.B. at that. He doesn't LOVE baseball and anybody that watches just about every ranger game like I do can see that. For 2 months he's been at the plate like it's his day job and he can't wait to get home and play NCAA. His comeback story is great but the Rangers need him to win a WS and he isn't committed. All he cares about is the paycheck and that's been show more than once lately. I heard him in an interview after a game about a month ago and he must have plugged his coconut water 45 times in 3 minutes. I mean really who does that? As far as I'm concerned the Yankees or any other team can have him after this year. The Rangers can use that money for a grown man that doesn't need a babysitter.
ok i'm done. carry on with your day

Drew Brees.
Half his tweets are about his Jimmy John's franchise in New Orleans and how he is going to go eat there today!!!
Though, I can't blame him, Jimmy John's is damn good.

Grienke to the angels..as a rangers fan i hate seeing LA get better but I'm glad the Rangers didn't overpay for him. He's a FA after the year that will want Hamels money and to be honest any pitcher that puts in his contract that he doesn't want to be traded to a huge baseball market like NY/Boston doesn't want to pitch on the big stage. He's a puss and he'll show that down the stretch.

Gammons was saying he's unlikely to pitch today because he was going to be traded to SF, i'm sure this helped the value
...good thing the Royals gave them 7 wins out of 8 meetings since the break, sheesh

baseball is such a joke, i just watched like 10 min of the red sox yankees game cause nothign is on. dude gets hit by a pitch, ump didnt see it, 1st and 3rd didnt. they rule he didnt get hit. thats not the part im concerned with. they sit there and deliberate it, then the manager comes out and argues it. makes sense, except that everyone knows the call wont be changed, and everyone knows hes getting tossed. whats the fucking point? just install replay and that 5 minutes of wasted time could be used to make a correct call instead of this show that managers always put on.

Selig said he's going to expand instant replay, i just don't want umpires replaced because they play a big part in the bets i make

yeah i mean i dont really care about that per say. just the amount of dumb shit that is done in baseball, just to do it, just for "tradition" or whatever they wanna say. then they bitch about making games longer with replay... some dude hit a home run, im gunna throw at him the next time, then my manager is gunna come out and argue with 0% chance of changing anything

NBA has replay and we all saw the Finals. But yes, replay is good for baseball as long as it isn't balls and strikes.

Brandon League Traded to Dodgers
League, 29, is owed approximately $1.85MM for the rest of the season before becoming a free agent this winter. He's pitched to a 3.63 ERA with 5.4 K/9 and 3.8 BB/9 in 44 2/3 innings this year, plus his usual sky-high ground ball rate is down to just 46.9%.
Landry, 22, is hitting .328/.358/.559 with eight homers and 15 triples in 376 plate appearances for Los Angeles' High Class-A affiliate this season while spending most of his time in center field. Bawcom, a 23-year-old right-hander, owns a 2.03 ERA with 11.1 K/9 and 4.1 BB/9 in 48 2/3 relief innings split between Single-A and Double-A this year. Neither player ranked among the team's top 30 prospects in Baseball America's Prospect Handbook before the season.
Blue Jays Trade Snider for Pirates Lincoln
Snider, now 24, has spent considerable time in the Major Leagues since debuting as a 20-year-old in 2008. However, he has battled injuries and the Blue Jays have optioned him to the minor leagues for extended periods, so his career high in games is 82 (reached in 2010). The left-handed hitter has a career batting line of .247/.305/.429. He has a .235/.270/.559 in 37 plate appearances this year, including three homers against left-handed pitching.
Lincoln has developed into a dependable late inning reliever for the Pirates, though that's not necessarily what they had in mind when they selected him fourth overall six years ago. He has a 2.73 ERA with 9.1 K/9, 2.1 BB/9 and a 37% ground ball rate in 59 1/3 innings for Pittsburgh this year. The 27-year-old has also started at least five games in three

Braves Acquire Reed Johnson, Paul Maholm from Cubs for Jaye Chapman and Arodys Vizcaino. Always heard good things about Vizcaino.

Paul Maholm is a big get for us, we needed a pitcher.
Reed Johnson, though, might be the steal of the trade. He is successful 92.784% of the time in moving runners from second to third with nobody out, when the runner's name has an "A" or "T" in it and the temperature is 70 degrees or less. Those are the kind of things you can't find in just any player, World Series here we come!

Vizcaino was the #2 Braves prospect prior to going down to Tommy John...still young so a good gamble by the rebuilding Cubs
