Welp, this went well:
Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter
Colin Kaepernick’s workout at the Falcons’ training facility at 3 pm is off; his workout now will be at another Atlanta location at 4 pm today.
Dan Wolken
@DanWolken
Strange scene here at the Falcons facility. A parade of rental cars just came rolling in with scouts. Now realization setting in that the workout has been moved. Confusion everywhere
It’s unclear whether Kaepernick ever arrived here in the first place as the plan was to bring him in a back entrance.
Dan Wolken
@DanWolken
The Kaepernick workout has moved to a high school an hour away. Unreal.
Dan Wolken
@DanWolken
This no longer appears to be an NFL event

Was this ever a NFL event? Was it a Kaepernick event the whole time?
I love a good dumpster fire, and this is nothing short of it

Dude is a bum and I hope every team boycotts him for this. 3/4ths of the league came to give him a shot and he pulls this.

Yea, I don't get why or how he figured this would work in his favor though.
Using 24 NFL teams/scouts as a pawn in your game and having them drive all around town to find you isn't really the best way to start things off to make a good impression.

I still think it was all about staying relevant and that he wouldn't let the man dictate the rules.

I hope this live feed video isn't the video that is supposed to be distributed to the NFL teams. I have zero knowledge in how to produce video and I can probably do better than this

Some of the stuff I read on twitter (or might have been what you posted) said that Nike had a camera crew involved and wanted to make an add out of it. Seems like maybe there's more money at stake doing an ad or set of ads than if he actually got signed? Who knows. Seems like they wanted to take control of the situation at some point. Wild

For you guys that watch the combine before the draft. What are some drills they do for quarterbacks? Is this pretty much all they do?

I don't believe it is. Seems like the local new station just capitalizing on being able to be there and getting schmucks like us to give them hits on youtube etc

From the statement I posted above, the NFL said it was a standard waiver, but Team Kaep says the waiver wanted him to basically absolve the NFL of any future lawsuits, so that was the reason for Kaep moving it. So it is now not an NFL sanctioned event.
And it sounds like Team Kaep will be setting up a 2nd lawsuit if he doesn't get signed after this.

I assume that meant "future lawsuits" in case he got hurt in the workout, but that Kaps folks assumed it was a trick to get him to not be able to sue anymore? That would be a hell of a trojan horse on the shields part

whats funny to me is you guys believe the NFL.. a league that lies/covers up everything.
Kaep wanted full media transparency. NFL said no. They claim to have allowed it but they also didnt believe in concussions....

Nike has denied this. Didn’t have anyone there.
