Any idea's of what makes up player popularity? I've got a guy in the minors, currently AA, that stunk it up in the majors before seeing demotions time and time again. He's now 26YO and rated 28/39 by OSA. The kicker though is he's 3rd on my list of most popular. Why?

Was he a high draft pick? I've noticed that some of my 1st rounders become popular very quickly without ever seeing the Majors.

Entered the league as an IFA.

Popularity is largely based on player performance, although it can also be influenced by things like player personality, news articles about players, contract signings, and overall ratings. Player popularity is an important consideration for general managers, since letting a popular player go can have a profound impact on fan interest, which can affect revenue. The fans will let you know, too, when they're unhappy with your moves.
On the other hand, signing a high-profile player or two can go a long way to restoring flagging interest in your franchise.

With 27 games to go and 8 of those against current wildcard holder Albany, well.... We can dream right? For now I'll ignore the fact that 6 of the games are against Cincy and 3 or 4 against Omaha
We also get two of our bigger bats back from injury after this last sim which should also help significantly.
no worries. Lynch got better and is a 77 potential to me now, so i hope Walker brings u many of wins

My scout is not on board the Wally Lynch bandwagon.

Google man...google.
Why? Got my answer....
But not really. He's not playing well, hasn't had any articles, and his overall ratings suck - stat wise, OSA wise and my scout wise.

Mine still just has him at 71. I'm sure I'll probably regret it a few seasons down the road, but for now it's definitely life we needed injected into our club.

About the same for me, big time question marks with control and stamina from my scout.

Diaz was an IFA, pretty sure all scouts see those the same, as crapshoots, most have ratings that go way down, and a few rare ones do not. Our scouts also saw Franco the same, he just took a huge potential increase after our trade. Not sure what the "among Others" references, but none of those are really scout related at all.
