Pats d has been impressive but they’ve faced:

- Ben (who supposedly was injured already),Fitzpatrick, Luke Falk, Josh Allen, Colt McCoy, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold

Will be interesting to see how “historic” they are when they are facing competent opponents

seems like a lot to give for Sanu.

probably worth it for the Pats who want to win now but not really paying max value there

I wanna blame the schedule and it's obviously a legit gripe, but the numbers are absurd. They're basically what you'd expect an all time great defense to do against that type of schedule and then some.

1 TD and 19 INTs. As many TDs scored as given up through 7 games. This is wild.

The Patriots have a passer rating of 35.8 for the entire season. An incomplete pass has a passer rating of 39.6.

The rest of the NFL has allowed a passer rating of 93.3.

Opposing QBs vs. New England: 120/229, 1,173 passing yards, 1 TD/18 INTs.

For sure

You can’t knock someone for executing perfectly regardless of the competition

I’m just not crowning them as “special” or all time until I see a stretch vs good QBs.
If I’m late to crown them I’m fine w that, dominating those dudes isn’t enough for me to perk up just yet.

Source: the Patriots have placed WR Josh Gordon on IR. His season is over due to a knee injury.

He'll actually be getting waived shortly, and will likely get picked up by another team.

Doesn't mean he won't, but shouldn't just yet.
