That playcalling last night.. yikes.
Not just the 4th and 9, but 1st and goal, :50 sec, 3 TO from the 5... and Chubb never touches it.
Then the stuff that you won't even hear on the news, consistently calling plays that are designed to fit the down/distance. Numerous times we'd have a situation like 3rd and 7 and we'd have 2 verts running side by side, with an inside deep post, while not having anyone backside to open the door and the only outlet was at 2yds. Just piss poor play design.
It's Monken's air raid base offense that they are running and these plays need to be better than what we've seen. It's Freddie calling the plays and that's just trash playcalling. I get what he was "thinking" on the 4th and 9. Most people don't realize that the Browns where in that same spot (4th and 3-10), midfield, numerous times vs. the Jets on Monday night. Every time, they hurried to the line of scrimmage and tried to draw the other team offsides, then they'd want the penalty to give the punter (he's awesome!) room to boom it (penalty was almost always declined though). So I'm assuming that Freddie thought he'd be cute, that they'd seen the tape and just chill and not be aggressive at the snap, then the OL would blow them off of the ball and magically get it. That's just some low level bullshit thinking that isn't going to fly with the athletes in the NFL.

1st time I've ever seen that play not result in a penalty for contact with the QB who gave himself up.

Re: NFL Thread
This is so stupid.
2 biggest plays of the game, very obvious calls, both missed.
It's getting tougher and tougher to do this.
Goodell's Fault.

Just looked it up. Now I remember with the thumb injury. Out 6 weeks gotta suck when the NFL is against a whole organization and the hall of fame QB is downDRWebs wrote:It's okay, news comes to you by horse so it's understandableGeorgesGoons wrote:I was actually being serious.
