Why wouldn't our results be more like Germany? Why do automatically go to worse case you can think of
What makes you believe our government can run this as well as Germany? What have you seen in the past 20-30 years in politics that would make your enthusiasm increase if this was ran by politicians. These politicians, all of them, do not care about you. All they care about is somehow lining their pocket
You do realize you and me are the ones that hold them accountable right? We have only ourselves to blame for the fact they don't care about us because we allow them to control us with bullshit issues that don't effect the average American one bit but those issues control the way a huge number of them vote..... Ie abortion, religious view, gay rights, or other social crap.
Mostly true. We can't hold them responsible if the republican/democrat party doesn't allow for fresh faces to come up with fresh ideas.
How do we get to that point? Is it by getting big money outta politics then everything else Cascades from that point? Only one party I've seen seems to have candidates talking about that.....

Like I said your ignorance runs deep here. It's not government ran. The company that runs it is a civilian ran company. And if you did just 4 years of 15 years and didn't retire you don't get that plan.

Are you really trying to equate having insurance through the government as being the exact same thing as the government being in charge of healthcare?

Yes he is. There are a couple people here with that same idiotic view. Like I said, it's pure ignorance of what it actually is

You really think that you have the ability to hold a government healthcare system accountable? George clearly told you it was 'inadequate at best.' If you don't want to believe him because he supports Orange Man, then just speak to a handful of vets. I Ask them about surgery delays, paperwork, etc. The VA is a shitshow and they only handle about 10m people nationwide. Government has never and will never do anything better than the private sector. For the 79047094207929972 time, stop voting for any candidate with a D or an R after their name is the start.

In our current political climate no I do not think we can hold them accountable.

For the 100000000000000000000 time when they have the Monopoly on the system how is that possible guy. Only one of those parties has even a inkling of a hope of getting us away from that Monopoly imo

So you're saying that government controls the political landscape and it sucks?

Wonder what it would look like if government controlled healthcare?

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Again, the government has never and will never do anything better than the private sector can.

Neither party has an inkling of getting us away from that monopoly. To do so they would have to break off and form their own movement. It's so much a monopoly that an independent had to switch parties (to the one you are referring to) just to have a chance at an election for president.

You're right that it'll never happen, because of mindsets like yours that think one party has any hope of doing anything other than what is best for themselves.

You all is acting like I expect the way our government is ran currently to do an about face tomorrow with how the current system is.....I do not. To start us down the path of getting there we have to vote for people who at this moment are saying we need to get big money outta the system which imo is the first of many many many steps. We need a complete and fundamental change to how our government is ran and all I can do at this point is vote for people who I think can start us down that path.

I disagree. Maybe you can name some candidates with an R beside their name that have a platform of overturning citizens united and starting us down a path of reform and making guys vote flipping ur burger matter as much as the billionaire.

I like how Crowes can call me out for "simpleton bullcrap" and no "critical thinking" while he still naively believes that the Democrat party is looking out for his best interests and can turn things around for us hard working Americans.

That's adorable, pal.

And back to healthcare literally every other industrial country on the face of the Earth has figured it out. They all have better
or comparable outcomes and spend vastly less per capita then we do with our private healthcare.
