Recruiting for me this season has been a joke. Im putting 700 pts (not counting the bonus) on each recruit and I keep falling behind each week. frustrating.

If there's a secret to recruiting I haven't figured it out yet. This is the first season in any OD that I've had 3 recruits signed this early.

I have spent more time playing in ODs than a sane person should, and am pretty good at the recruiting, and even though you are on side of mortal enemy I'd be happy to help you try and figure it out.
Re: Twist OD - Y2 W6 (3/30)
Yeah I'm struggling a bit, as I can only give 500 points still to a recruit.
That said, I just locked up 78 rated gem OT and am about to lock up a 78 rated DE. Other than that.....nothing "sure" yet and a lot of battles where I'm falling behind and having to give up.

yea this only being able to have 500 sucks when ever other user has 700 and most are going after ne one that i would want, Deff gonna be a issue this 1st year recruting, not to mention 2 of best players left to transfers just as I joined, Sure wish I had them back also.
There is nothing on this team atm.

you two guys make my point tho. Im putting max points (700) on every recruit im going for, and still falling behind on them. It makes no sense.

Is it QB's and WR's? If so I might have an idea of why you're losing them.

Re: Twist OD - Y2 W6 (3/30)
There are several reasons I know of, keep in mind that bonus points do change from week to week, and also if you signed anyone it can have a big impact too. Like if you going after 2 WRs, and you sign 1, you will probably take a big hit on the other one in the coming advance because of the change to your projected roster for next season. Even recruiting too many players at the same time from the same position has penalties as well. Beyond that I'd have to see more about the player, your points spent and the rest of the teams pursuing him. I'll help anyone who asks learn to do it better, I mean I like to win, but facing strong competition is also something I love. So the better you guys are at this the more I'll enjoy it too really.

Okay............sorry
wasn't really calling ya'll out, but I guess I kinda did. I was just saying it's pretty clear I know a bit more about it than some people here, and if anyone (maybe even Jason, though I'd have to think about it long and hard) feels they need some help to get their recruiting at the next level I will share much of what I know and the some of the rules I follow.

Afraid I'll steal some of your players?

Any help is appreciated

Re: Twist OD - Y2 W6 (3/30)
vs #8 Washington
80-31
The Noles ended this one early, and the only thing that really slowed them down was a few passes getting tipped at the line and picked by the Huskies defense. Winston and the rest of the 1st team offense had their helmets put away with 2 minutes to go in 2nd quarter, as the physical play of RB Wilder (11att 162yds 2td) and WR Benjamin (6rec 153yds 3tds) overwhelmed the Washington D literally every time they touched the ball. In the 3rd quarter the 1st team defense was taken off the field with over 6mins left in the quarter when CB Ramsey made his 3rd pick of the day and took it back for 6. Moments later his backup, JUCO transfer Daniel Larsen, repeated the act. Needless to say not much work was given to the backups even with being on the field for half the game or more for most of them, as the offense just ate clock till it was finally over.
Highlights uploaded to the EA OD page.

Re: Twist OD - Y2 W6 (3/30)
Jeez, there is nothing I can do for you pengy. Sliders don't really seem to be effecting game play hardness. I'm sure there's several here, including myself, that don't really want the sliders anymore difficult than they already are....
You said you have played in more OD's than any sane person should. Have they been able to challenge you any more than this? If so, what was different in them?
Maybe you should leave FSU and go to FIU?

Well my team is loaded, and much of the talent was 1st or 2nd year players when the OD began so it was also deep as heck too, not to mention I've got a maxed out OC this season which is kinda a nuts feature cause it's crazy how much better the team plays with it. If you look back at last season my user game with Clemson was a battle, so it's not like I haven't faced a challenge.
As for the other ODs, a couple haven't touched the sliders and couple have made major changes. I personally believe it just has to do with having a not only a strong team, but knowing how to use those strengths well.
I'm winning 10 games in a season in these, but haven't played for a championship in any of them. This due to both the fact that I'm still playing with an NDL mindset in regards to gameplay, and most of the rest of the owners only play within a very loose and general set of rules that wouldn't really fly here, so I kinda have a bit of a handicap as I normally lead the ODs in punting and FGs by a large margin

While it would be sad to leave my Noles, I will take a lower team for next season if that's what is asked of me. I just hope I get to kick Jason's Bama squad in head first, dude ducked for all of last years version of the game it seemed
