Painful to watch the college Canes but man they are fun on Sundays.
Brady to Dorsett is pretty tonight.

I'm actually surprised that the AB situation was allowed to happen the way it did. What a circus, and if he meant for that to happen it doesn't matter. The Raiders end up completely releasing a guy that they gave up 2 draft picks to get him. Do they get compensation for that?

I understand the 10 second runoff rule, makes perfect sense....but not over 15 seconds after a play when the Saints snapped the ball at :26.
Such a ridiculous rule if it's not done from the actual time of the play ending.

Welp, not a ridiculous rule, just ridiculous refs botching the clock.shel311 wrote:I understand the 10 second runoff rule, makes perfect sense....but not over 15 seconds after a play when the Saints snapped the ball at :26.

The football Gods hate the Saints.
Re: NFL Thread
So the Texans playing prevent cover 3 deep with 6 seconds on the clock? If Brees tried to throw anything over 10 yards the game would have been over. Waste of a ridiculous Watson 2 play scoring drive on Houston's part.

That was a ridiculous formation to be in with :06 left.dakshdar wrote:So the Texans playing prevent cover 3 deep with 6 seconds on the clock?
Shit, Brees couldn't even reach the endzone from the 50 anyway if they tried.

Re: NFL Thread
The Canes are 0-2 and Corey has a full season of Joe Flacco to look forward to... That morning OOTP sim can't come soon enough

Re: NFL Thread
I am shocked at how little pressure they have gotten on Carr. I do not think he has been pressured once. Feeling much better about the Bears game next week

Re: NFL Thread
Was it just me or did anyone else wonder why the defender dropped down on the wideout? He was clearly on the ground and not going anywhere, let him lay there 2 seconds...I know it's against instinct but if ur coming out in a deep cover 3, why not tell the underneath guys to let the wideout fall and lay there.

Re: NFL Thread
I believe the NFL will call the play over if the player gives themself up like that, especially in the instance where the offense is looking to use a timeout.
Down by contact rule on NFL's site:

(a) through (c) are your typical down by contact, forward progress stopped, and taking a knee (victory formation). An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended:
(d) when a runner declares himself down by:
falling to the ground, or kneeling, and clearly making no immediate effort to advance.

True by the letter of the rules but I wonder if they would blow it dead in time...never know but it was something that ran through my head as it was happening.

The girl supposedly has passed a lie detector test. And she has texts where he admits to doing something while she was sleeping.Cnasty wrote:Now AB accused of sexual assault.
She is suing for just $75k, which is an oddly low number.

Re: NFL Thread
Seems like a good number if you're just looking for a quick settlement. Not inferring anything about the validity of the claims.GeorgesGoons wrote:The girl supposedly has passed a lie detector test.
