I was thinking about this and wanted to get your guys thoughts.
We sit here and say this draft sucked. Ok, compared to some of our past drafts, yes, it sucked, but how does it compare to real life?
Are we just used to the league having too much top tier talent and not true to life?
I say that thinking, in real life, you have a handful of true all stars. Not guys that just make the all star team, but true all stars.
Guys that truly stand out.
A 50/50 rated guy is an average MLBer. So did the draft really suck if you think about it compared to real life?
Maybe the game is just getting more "real" and we have to adjust and realize our teams will no longer have 12 blue prospects and 17 green, but more like 4 blue (Stand outs) prospects and 6-8 green (Above Avg) and then a bunch more yellows (AVG).
Just a thought.

Well, according to my scout, this draft had 0 average MLB quality hitters.
Not sure that's ever happened in real life.

What is the minimum number of games a guy can play to not be considered a rookie anymore the next year?
I always forget that number.

My scouts been pretty solid for me and he didn’t have a single hitter at 50 either and only had 1 player with contact above 65. Second highest was 57 contact. Maybe JD is right in what the developers were going for but this draft was way too extreme with it and sucked major ass

An article I read yesterday from The Athletic did an analysis of 20-80 ratings for all five tools. There are major leaguers who have a hit tool rated below 50.
I think JD has hit the nail on the head. Maybe we have to severely shift our thinking. The amount of blues we had in the past wasn't realistic, but it was more fun.

Haven't we already been through this once before though? Many many seasons ago we had a ton of loaded teams with blue players, especially in regards to SP's. Seems we had a bunch of subpar drafts after that as all the blue players were being thinned out.
I think we've adjusted to that and are now going through a second adjustment to bring the level of highly rated players down again.

I actually thought OOTP20 did a great job with how they adjusted the ratings and made less blues. Guys for the most part were properly rated and the stars had their own tier. I think the talent level the NDL at now is much lower than it was in 2040s and 50s but really at the perfect spot.
