All sitting this week with injuries.
It’s almost like when Billy won a title when Boston was obliterated by injuries and I was on vacation*

Sounds like you need a better trainerwdoupis wrote:I'd go ahead and be real safe and throw them all on the 60 day DL
and I have lost 2 of my 5 starters including a top 3 SP in the game to go with the best 2B in the game in Ruiz..... I do not want to hear about injuries over there
I probably should have done this a while ago but his ratings are really good. With our history we definitely need a new voice in the training roomGeorgesGoons wrote:Sounds like you need a better trainerwdoupis wrote:I'd go ahead and be real safe and throw them all on the 60 day DL

Every season I basically go 3-16 vs Boston, 13 games over .500 vs the rest of the league, and finish right around .500.Cnasty wrote:Sheltown finally breaks through against Boston after going like 4-97 the last 10 years against us with a modest 7-8 record in 2055.
The rest of the schedule, well its been tough.
Disagree on this. We have a ton of cash to spend. Adding 2 guys with a combined WAR if 14 is not going to get us into the playoffs. I would say it is the worse thing a team rebuilding can do actually. Instead of picking in the top 5, I am now picking 14th. Rebuilding is a long, slow process and doing it right means you don't usually spend a ton of cash on FA's.wdoupis wrote:That is another thing, when I do rollover I have to see everyones finances. I am always shocked at the amount of bad teams or even middle of the road teams that are sitting on 50 million cash and 80 million for free agents. If they signed 1 or 2 top guys they would be division contenders or better. I do not know if its due to lack of interest or just not paying attention to FA but teams sitting on all that money probably does not help our finances out much.
When you're ready, you may not have money though if you're bad for long enough. Fan interest goes down, revenues go down, budgets go down.JohnC wrote:When the time is right, we plan on being very active in the FA market, but that time is not now.
Pretty sure all his ratings will crash now, but I have no other options at catcher, glad to make him a lifetime Bulldog thoughwdoupis wrote:

I think it depends on the team. If they are 1-2 years away from being good then yes I would agree. If a team is still 4 years away then it makes no sense.wdoupis wrote:
I will say if you see a star type who is in his prime I still think its smart to go after these guys as they will only help when you are ready.
Sign and trade is always a good option as wellJohnC wrote:I think it depends on the team. If they are 1-2 years away from being good then yes I would agree. If a team is still 4 years away then it makes no sense.wdoupis wrote:
