Gus Johnson is the first announcer in my history of watching televised sports that forces me to turn the game off or put it on mute.

Edit: I just watched the clip. It was OK, not his normal idiot screaming over nothing.

Report: Michael Vick Getting Confident Enough To Do Something Terrible Again
NOVEMBER 13, 2010 | ISSUE 46•45

PHILADELPHIA—Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, who on Wednesday added an NFC Player of the Week award to the Player of the Month honors he received in September, has regained his former confidence to the point that he will soon be ready to commit a horrifying act, sources close to Vick said Friday. "Clearly he's playing like the electrifying Michael Vick of five years ago, the quarterback who was selected to three Pro Bowls, handed the Packers their first-ever home playoff loss, and had the bald arrogance to kill underperforming fighting dogs with his bare hands and think he would get away with it," said an Eagles staffer who was "astounded and impressed" that Vick also leads the NFL in passer rating and asked not to be identified for fear of retribution. "Every team in the league, and every member of civilized society, has seen what Vick is capable of when he's playing like this." Regardless of his performance on or off the field this season, Vick will be mentored by Tony Dungy.

From the Holy Shit, That Can't Be True Department ... Tonight's Patriots/Steelers game was the first matchup in 25 years of multiple Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks.

i love Gus as well.

as annoying as he is, i respect anyone with that much intensity and passion as long as its somewhat knowledgable (which i think he is). Dicky V on the other hand is terrible because he's lost any ounce of basketball knowledge he had and simply reads what his research team tells him to read.

I just saw the ending on FOX to the Jac/Hou game, I bet that was great listening to him after that play. A midfield hail mary that gets batted down into the JAC wr hands to win.

Sam Rosen is 100x better than Gus and injects as much excitement as anybody without turning into a complete clown

You can thank Berman and Jackson for their "KNOCK IT DOWN!" bullshit. I never understood that logic.

Wow ... you tell 'em Mora!!
"To me, this is high treason. An NFL football player does not turn down a play like that. And if I'm Jason Garrett, the first thing that I'm doing when I take over as the head coach of this team, is I'm getting guys like that -- number 21, who absolutely committed treason, let his team down by passing up a tackle and let the ball get in the end zone -- I'm taking him and I'm getting him out of my locker room."
--Former Falcons and Seahawks coach Jim Mora, on NFL Network, after watching Dallas cornerback Mike Jenkins back off a tackle against Green Bay's James Jones eight days ago.

You all know how I value Mannning, Brady, and Rivers as three of the best QB's of our generation. This season, they are proving it in spades. Look at the fucking players they are throwing to!!! I haven't heard of a quarter of them!
