currently the death rate is 6.14% of known cases. If there are an additional 1M cases that were not confirmed the death rate goes down. So if there were 1M more cases not confirmed by tests how many of those are dying without ever being admitted to the hospital and getting tested (I'd venture to say it would almost be 0)?

Or am I just completely missing what he is trying to say? Anytime Nick says anything I expect doom and gloom and we are all going to die, so may not be reading it with an open mind.

"that would be incorrect"

The rest of your post is basically saying the same thing nick did while you're saying he's wrong.

Still makes zero sense what Nick is trying to say. Unless he was pointing out that known cases are at 6.14%. Why would that number stay if we all agree that we have underreported actual cases due to testing criteria? I think the US number is at ~4% right now, and once (if ever) they get the antibody testing out we will be surprised at how many people may have had it without ever knowing.

I will chalk it up to his normal doom and gloom posts regarding this and read his comment with a prejudged notion of what he was saying.

This feels like a George "I don't get it" joke right now.

It's not. I honestly missed what he was trying to say. And my stubbornness and having a preconceived idea of what he was saying has clouded seeing it

Smithfield, one of the largest pork producers, are closing up shop for the time being. You may want to go out and get your bacon now as the prices may go up

We saw bacon prices at Walmart for $4 a pound and then went to another store and it was $12 for the same package of bacon.

I'm surprised there is no Red Dawn email talk today. Did I miss it?

Things that come straight from emails that require no spin, just interesting to see what all these people had to say.

These people?

Primarily doctors from multiple federal government and private sector groups including the Surgeon General, multiple Homeland Security team members, CDC, State Department, DoD, Veterans Affairs, etc.

I don't know what Corey's comment referred to, but NY Times used Freedom of Information act to obtain and then print 80 pages of email between high ranking medical doctors and officials within the government that basically outline how their concerns were being ignored and advice thrown out by those making the decisions.

Just Google Red Dawn Emails. There's a few Shel notes articles for you.

Gotcha

I see Fauci has come under fire a little because he's come out and said similar, that he was warning the administration much earlier but nothing was done. Only problem, there are videos of him doing interviews as late as late February telling everyone the risk is low, and they shouldn't change anything they're doing, basically contradicting his claims.

It's easier to backtrack any statement if you support both sides of the argument.

If you want to read through it all. I'm in between meetings a lot today, but going to try to read it.
