False positivity possibly but big change in the tone.

I hope its not too early but man I am ready for this shit to be over.
Great optimism until Jim Acosta at the end questioning Trump and his upbeat outlook. It's a delicate balance of having optimism as well as not spreading false hope. I think these press conferences does well at that with the experts weighing in as well.

Meant to mention this yesterday. Female doctors, forgot her name, laid out all the testing versus positive Corona results. See broke it down by age group but just a quick guess at percentage from the numbers she threw out it seems like we are at 18%-20% positive results of all people showing symptoms. Men are more likely to result in a positive. Probably due to our stubbornness and stupidity of not going to the doctor's, which she pretty much said as well. I like listening to her, she breaks it down for the common person to understand.

You can tell who he picks and when he decides to pick them.

It’s quite a fun game to watch.

Bill Maher getting absolutely crushed as a racist for this video, further proving that so many people's lives are so good and they have nothing to bitch about, so they just make things up to bitch about.

What "side" is Maher usually on?

Watching that video, I just assumed he'd be a hard core conservative.

But a ton of liberals hate him too as he doesn’t get behind many of the PC crazy new liberal stuff. I love Maher though even with some key things I disagree with him on. I just respect his pro atheist stuff

I'll have to read up on his views.

He just always seems so smug and unlikable

I like Bill Maher. Don't agree with everything he says but he says shit most people are afraid of saying.

I was a huge fan when he first got on HBO. His exchange with Mills Lane on capital punishment really got me to like him.

Pretty sobering
This has all been so overwhelming. I’m absolutely exhausted through to my bones. I’m numb. I don’t even know what or how to feel any emotions any more.

Our team has faced 65 deaths so far to COVID. And there are more every day. We still have 10-11 times our previous normal number of patients on vents. And somehow we still have to keep going forward. One foot in front of the other. PPE on, PPE off, decontaminate, the hands, the clothes, the hot shower to wash off the germs, to rinse away the fear of death. And now my young colleague in his 30’s is hospitalized, hypoxic, fighting for breath. And yet I, much older, still breathe normally. Why? Or could that be some unusual shortness of breath I feel walking up the stairs to the ICU? It must be my imagination, my fear playing tricks on me. Or maybe it is the weight on my chest that I feel, the weight of knowing what I will find when I walk into that ICU.

I feel like I don’t know what to say to normal people, to those who don’t experience the ongoing anguish that we experience inside those hospital walls. I wonder if this is what it feels like for a soldier to come back from war. But then I think that the killing of war must be so much worse for those returning soldiers, as war is due to the insanity of humanity, and this insanity is due to a virus that is beyond the ability of humankind to control.

I want to crawl into my bed, to pull the covers up over my head. I don’t want to pretend to be strong any more.

i know you have to be confirmed.. and a lot of people have it without being tested etc etc.. but still regardless of that.. if you go in and get a test and youre confirmed, so youre added to the John Hopkins data... you have right now a 6.14% (1 in 17) chance of dying ..

that would be incorrect. If, as you say, a lot of people have it without being tested the 6% number would go down.
