STC going up against Washington and Sheltown to end the season could be a big blessing for the Cubbies

All on pace for career high for innings thrown and may even reach 300IP including the post season.

We all remember how shel wore out Jamison and McGee during the regular season and injuries later in their career.

Shel is the Dusty Baker of our league!
McGuire: 3-2 4.46ERA 91ERA+ in August/0-1 4.15ERA 98ERA+ in September
Bri Bry: 2-3 5.20ERA 78ERA+ in August/0-1 6.17ERA 66ERA+ in September

Its happening!!! :)

So, I am looking through the NDL-OOTP: League Rules in the Admin section and I see nothing on free agent compensation. IE - How is it determined if a player qualifies for compensation, how the compensation system works (ie- loss of draft pick or sandwich pick etc). Is it listed somewhere else? It really should be included in this link...no?

We follow the rules for the 2012 CBA as they have not done the new CBA.

Key points

1. You must offer a guy the Qualifying Offer during arb time. If he turns down the 12 million or whatever it is he becomes a FA and is comp eligible.

2. If he gets signed you get a pick in the supplemental round that season. The team who signs them will lose their 1st rounder unless it’s a top 10 pick then they lose a 2nd.

3. A guy has to be on your team the entire season to be eligible for the qualifying offer.

4. If you sign multiple comp eligible guys you will lose your 1st, then 2nd and so on

5. After draft occurs all comp guys who are unsigned lose the comp tag and are normal free agents

Ok, thanks but how is it determined if he is comp eligible though? Is it determined by the game based on stats?

same thing as real life (or was). final yr if you wanna qualify you offer 1/12. if they turn it down u get a sandwich pick (potentially). Its not like back in the day when you had Type A/B prospects and their stats determined their type.

Anyone who has been on your team the entire season and is hitting free agency is eligible. You just have to decide if you want to risk them accepting the 12 million like Goodnight and Alfonso did with me a few seasons ago. What jerks

the one lame loophole (never tried because meh) would be angering a FA who doesnt even deserve 12, so they refuse to talk, offer them the 1/12 (they reject ni anger i assume?) and poof, get a comp pick.
