Marcos Pinto - had as a 55 pot closer.. whatever... but he was "high" accuracy

well today.. Pinto is also high accuracy.. as a 37 pot...

what the fuck is happening? is potential relative to your peers? Is he a 55 pot to everyone in NCAA but compared to everyone in the minors hes a 37?

edit: phew nevermind hes actually a 55.. for some reason my 2 pitch CL is currently a "SP" so it dropped his potential. Crisis averted.

Pintos i had as a 55 and hes a 55 (when i look at Scouting report it says 55 MR)
2nd rounder diaz I had as a 46.. hes a 46.
3rd rounder i had as a 50.. hes a 51
4th rounder i had as a 43.. hes a 44

this is exciting news. get your dudes to High/Very High and they shouldnt drop that bad..

1. OSA from previous games was almost certainly "Average"
2. we were using scouts with "low/very low" accuracy on draftees cause we (not all but most) didnt spend much time scouting to get proper numbers.

by rule youre suppose to offer slot. Obviously if their demand is less than slot give them that.. But if their demand is higher, to get the comp pick you gotta offer slot. Sometimes they take it.

You only have a comp pick for what, the first 3 rounds?
So if you drafted some 47 POT guy, that is on you, not the computer.
I believe that is Billy's concern.
If you don't sign a guy that you drafted in round 12, who cares, he becomes a free agent and you do not receive any extra compensation, so no one cares.
Billy doesn't want guys not signing their first few rounds to build up draft picks for future drafts.

I could be wrong though. There is a 1st time for everything!

OOTP20 did not get it right, I doubt 21 is also.
It was an honor system.
At 1 point the league debated on making it where you have to send a screen shot to the commish showing you offered slot, but that never ended up being a thing.
