I flipped him in to like 10 innings or Arredondo

Bri Bry is on pace for the 2nd greatest season ever for an SP in the NDL based on WAR.
And Sheltown can't even get this dude to the playoffs.

Billy is the pitcher stats guru, but still doesn't believe in FIP either.

I didn’t say I don’t believe in FIP. This game just sucks at calculating war for SPs and you can see it year after year.

True, I think you actually said you didn't know what FIP was, which then explains your thoughts on WAR. They go hand in hand.

Luis Polanco is 41 years old and wrecked and he has already thrown 169 innings and has been lights out. Bama let his boy go a season too early

Ratings wise, he looks pretty bad, but he's pitching well.
This is one of my worst all time trades, that I still loved at the time. He was one of what feels like about 10,000 guys I've traded and no more than a couple of sims later, he jumped up 10+ points in potential.
The Catcher I got for him looked great, but never really played that well...except of course for the very next season after I traded him away.
I sense a trend here.

This happened just before I joined I guess as I came in 2038. I need to look up the trade but I am not near game

The one thing that makes it tough is once a guy retires, you can't see his scout ratings.
Then obviously I don't have the same scout as I did when I made the deal in 2034. I may not be exact but I still remember the details pretty well.
It was me getting Tommy McNeal straight up for Polanco, I think with Niddler. My scout had Polanco around 60 potential and McNeal somewhere over 70. Couple of sims later Polanco was like 75 potential or something, but McNeal still looked great by my scout. But he just never panned out in the way Polanco did obviously.

also Pitcher WAR is pretty meh. When comparing the 2, they admit that they havent completely figured out pWAR as oppose to bWAR. for what it's worth.

Hindsight is easy, go look at his 3-5 prior seasons before this one. He was constantly injured.

Winey went 6/6 5 runs scored, 3RBI 1HR 2SB in a game against Cookeville.
Hell of a day.
