He didnt say shit about race and if he did, Blount would have instantly said something about that to defend himself.
Not to mention, he wouldn't have taken a sucker-punch and BACKED OFF. He'd have gone off on the guy.

How often does a guy get punched from a team with 20 of his team mates around and not a single one of them attempts to pounce on the attacker? Boise State either has the most level headed athletes in sports history or the biggest pussys. Only other thing that could have happened is that he said something to deserve that punch in the face....and his team mates were like well "thats what happens when you say what you did."

Regardless, I thought that his team mates' reactions were the most impressive part or the whole thing.

Totally embarrassed his football program...can't say I disagree with the year suspension.

Im impressed Oregon stepped up like that and suspended him the entire season. Kudos to them.

He has had prior suspensions as well so this isnt his first mistake.

Chip Kelly looked lost out there and Bellotti roaming the sidelines did not help. Get your ass up in the booth like every other AD.

This is a defining moment for Kelly and good to see that they suspended him for the year and not a couple games just to 9-3 instead of 7-5 or something.

LOL Belotti can do whatever the fuck he wants Corey he built that program. Kelly was his man I am sure he felt bad for them.

I am with you Suns very happy Boise players held themselves together and I am continually impressed with Boises coach, guy can coach um up with the best.

Coach Pete preaches to the team about no fighting ever no matter what that is why there was no BSU players going after Blount because if any one of the guys would have they would have been suspended from the team.

I know this, but you do not pick this guy as your predecessor and then go roaming the sidelines like you are Jerry Jones giving pointers.

Get your ass up in the suite and enjoy the blue turf and amenities.

geez :( :( :( if this would have been a player from a team like fla,fsu or miami ;) he would have been suspended 3-6 games, i think it was a little harsh but thats what great programs and coaches do make tough decisions.(I think if the ducks would have won then it wwouldve been a 3-6 week suspension, less attn off chip) but Kudos for the duckies for not throwing him out in the streets by letting him stay in the program and keeping his scholarship plus providing him with any extra help if needed just no more football on saterdays  tough lesson lagarrette and i hope you use this as a lesson and a tool for your decisions in your life.

It would have been harsh schoola until he went at the fans.......you can not do that...PERIOD. If you have to be restrained by police your ass is gone....he obviously has anger issues and needs to deal with him now that he has a lot more free time. I bet the Bengals draft him.

You can't talk trash in sports anymore?

Assuming he said what Corey is reporting and nothing racial, I don't see a problem.

God damn Oregon guy is a bitch who had a shitty game and needed to take it out on somebody. I'm glad he is gone for the year.

Cnasty wrote:Supposedly whats being released from Boise and Oregon is that the Boise kid said something along the lines of "now you owe us 2 ass whoopings" and patted him on the shoulder.

BINGO!!

If you watch it from every angle, you can see the Boise player mouthing about the "ass whoopin" in reference to what Blount said that week.

I do not and will not believe that Boise player used the "N" word around about 10 of his own black teammates. The ONLY way I'd believe that is if the white Boise player admitted it himself.

There's simply ZERO reason to believe that.

I agree. There is nothing wrong with saying what the Boise guy said. If this is what was actually said, there better be a lot of people apologizing for putting any of the blame on the Boise guy.

And i'm shocked he got suspended for the rest of the season, but that is a GREAT move by Oregon.

Acts like that from someone who can't control his emotions shouldn't be tolerated. Good work Oregon.

The last great Boise moment ended up being adopted by EA. Does this mean that the sucker punch will be added next year? I guarantee that I will lead the league in sucker punches. Julio Jones.....POW, right in the fucking kisser!

well like I told him:
excuses are like assholes everybody got 1 and you have a talent and gift that very few have and you are fing up just like WE allways do. Did his words fly from his mouth and grabbed you fist and pushed it to his face. Then who made your hand punch him?

but here is how I am thinking
peterson didn't wanna reflect on it in the media because wouldn't that make his program look bad as well?
Blount didn't go on about it because to me that would make him childish. What he is doing now is a sign of growing up and taking responsibilty.

Well, now that the it is all water under the bridge and Blount is gone for the entire year then hopefully this unknown truth will also come out to support his and your claims.

But my question is, what about Blount trying to go into the stands.

Are we now supposed to believe he was being called the "N" word AGAIN and that's why he tried to go into the stands?

the punch was ridiculous...but his antics headed towards the locker room is what sealed it for me. Just thought about how embarrassed I would be if that asshole when to my school and misrepresented us like that.

Sorry shel...I gotta play the race card... I was embarrassed as hell as a black man having him out there looking acting like a real-life stereotype. *shakes my head* And I wasn't alone, just judging by my abnormal number of text messages that came rolling in after 1AM. Anyways, I hope he uses this year to become a better player, but only after he's figured out how to become a better man.
