Guess that makes you no one?
kiss the ring before you address me.
Won it when? About 8 seasons ago? Inaugural season was what....2014ish? Bragging rights for sure given that it's 2047.

I hate it when your scout gives you a good POT rating to a player and then bashes them in the scouting report comments... I mean, c'mon, which is it! :x

Mine is real big on blue speed, blue fielding, 21 contact gap, homer, and eye.....78 potential

I have mentioned it about every 2 or 3 seasons that I wish we could "program" our scouts on what we want them to think is important and then through that formula we could get individualized POT specific for us.

I am sure I could do something on my own through excel or something but . . . lets be serious

Maybe tools scouts now weigh more heavily on the factors that make a prospect great like fielding and speed while ability scouts weigh more on actual stats? I feel like more guys like tools scouts these days.

You were always big on ability scouts, correct?

I do prefer a tools scout, but have you seen the available scouts? There is NOTHING out there.

It's definitely scared me a little this off season having an ability guy, but what can you do :)

great coaches/scouts used to be a dime a dozen, they are no where to be found anymore. It also seems like unproven coaches either take forever, or don't develop at all in the minors

That's why in the hiring process now you have to look at their strengths and weaknesses.

I was trying to hire a guy as a bench coach and someone got him... As a AA manager... You'd think a guy would rather be in the majors then minors...

Tim Jenkins loves Indy. We took him out to St. Elmo's for the world famous shrimp cocktail and a massive New York Strip. From there he hit the nightclub circuit and finished up with an early dawn exit from PT's Showclub. The word is that his wife is already looking at homes in Carmel.

You know he and Shawn Dawson are best friends and really excel when playing together.
