Re: Owners
I put a ticket in with OOTP to see if there would be any repercussions and the best way to go about addressing the issue, maybe it will also help them in the future with addressing this with a patch or in a new version.

I'm sure his football players wear boots and kits and when he says football he's talking about soccer.ajalves wrote:I like the way this guy talksmreijimiyake wrote:

Re: Owners
I would say it extends to taking as well, if he somehow (can't imagine a scenario) where he took more than 20/25 then it's capped too. Doubt that happens, but just in casedusters06 wrote:I like this, nothing over 20-25 mil from owner. If the owner takes money, deal with it. If he's charitable and gives, then nothing over 25 mil.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Throw a cap on owner contributions/deductions? We have a cash cap of $50 mil, cap the Owner +/- at $25 or $50 mil (pick a number). That way Corey doesn't have to fix EVERY one every time, just one or two (if that) a year.ajalves wrote:now, I don't care if you want to pump up a 300 mill payroll ....I don't think a salary cap is necessary. I just think you should have to work your way out of debt, not get 250 mill from your owner

Re: Owners
Keep it the way it is. This league has ran for 35 digital years, no need to fuck with it now.
Let's talk about more important things....like doubling up the SIM's during the offseason. And I don't want to hear excuses about east coast bias either. If I can do it here in Iraq I am sure you left coasters can get on board as well.

Has there not been other things that "we" thought the sky was falling before within the game? I don't know, I never pay attention to that stuff nor do I care about it. I only do the league to bullshit in the forumsshel311 wrote:Not with this feature though.GeorgesGoons wrote:This league has ran for 35 digital years, no need to fuck with it now.

Re: Owners
I actually like the cap of what the owner can give as a compromise.
Add 24 hours to rollover at least though if not more.

Re: Owners
My point is in relation to at what point Corey would step in. Not that we think he is right to do so.shel311 wrote:If it's a consensus, then it's really not a commish only judgment though, right?mreijimiyake wrote: I thought the consensus was that Corey would have to do so without any clear framework.
And to be fair, if we do it this way, Corey isn't making any judgments on how much each team should get and what is fair, he's setting every single team's cash from the owner to $0.
I'm still not clear on how much debt we can rack up before any restrictions, if any, kick in?
You guys certainly do give a lot of fucks about your league though. It's good to see.
I'll rise with whatever tide you guys come in on.

Re: Owners
Let's vote this in already so we're prepared for next season if anything changes. I like a 25 mil cap in either direction. Should minimize the work Corey has to do with only a few teams going above/below that #

For this thread topic, Corey goes in to each team at season's end and sets the Cash from Owner to $0...for every team no matter what.
Re: Owners
Which smells of realism too...that isn't sim I still don't agree with it...shel311 wrote:I think you may still be talking about the other issue?mreijimiyake wrote:My point is in relation to at what point Corey would step in. Not that we think he is right to do so.

Re: Owners
The other way isn't sim or realistic either, fwiw.
Re: Owners
More sim than not!
How do you know if the owner of Montreal isn't a billionaire and has $300 mil laying around the house? I love how you are the judge of all and nobody should have their own opinion
