Not sure if this is 100% correct, but this is what I'm reading, and this would be pretty good news all things considered:
EA Sports an the CLC signed a new 3 year deal a month ago. The NCAA and SEC doesn't own the universities logos, the CLC does. What that means is that EA will continue to use the schools logos but you won't have the SEC logo or championship game in the game

But the article also stated that neither the SEC nor it's member schools will participate in the upcoming game. So if I understand it correctly, the SEC is completely out.

So it will be the Conference in the South East. CSE...

Lets not place our stock in what Shel has to say if he has to report back on reading an entire article.

Pretty sure it only stated that the SEC has chosen not to participate, but it didn't speculate on whether the member schools would or not.

They will all back out. There isn't enough money in it to support possible litigation.

Well if NCAA dies, do we run more seasons w this version? W 2013?
We have the COD stuff, OOTP; we can do a Madden league, we have interest in the FIFA league stuff. NBA 2K league, Tiger Woods league, etc. Plus w GTA5 coming out and the mayhem that Beefy creates, we'll have plenty of stuff to do.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Big Ten, Pacific-12 and Southeastern conferences are following the NCAA's lead and will no longer allow EA Sports to use league logos in its college football video games.
The NCAA announced last month it will no longer allow Electronic Arts Inc. to use its logo starting next year. The move comes as the NCAA fights a high-profile lawsuit that says the governing body owes millions of dollars to former players for allowing their likenesses to be used for free.
ESPN first reported the SEC would end its licensing agreement with EA, and the league confirmed that to the AP Wednesday.
The Big Ten and Pac-12 said they also will not renew agreements with EA.
The conference contracts do not cover individual schools, which can sign their own licensing deals. That would allow EA to have games depicting top-level football programs, such as Alabama from the SEC, Ohio State from the Big Ten and Oregon from the Pac-12. The games would not be able to make any mention of their conferences.
Big 12 spokesman Bob Burda said in an email to the AP that "there is no change in status for the Big 12 Conference at this time."
Conference USA, the American Athletic Conference, Mountain West Conference and Sun Belt gave similar statements, saying they will be evaluating the situation.
The commissioners of the other FBS conferences — Atlantic Coast and Mid-American — were not immediately available, and it was unclear whether their leagues would follow the growing trend.
Former UCLA basketball star Ed O'Bannon is the lead plaintiff among 16 former college athletes in the long-running legal battle that could fundamentally alter how the NCAA operates.
Basketball Hall of Famers Bill Russell and Oscar Robertson previously joined the lawsuit that also names EA and Collegiate Licensing Co. Five current college football players were added to the lawsuit last month, including Vanderbilt linebacker Chase Garnham, Clemson cornerback Darius Robinson and Arizona linebacker Jake Fischer.
Also, EA is being sued by former Arizona State and Nebraska quarterback Sam Keller over the use of his likeness in video games.
