Been thinking about this a little bit this morning. My plan with this OD was to have people pick the C+ and below teams, go through their contract and then they could pick a new team based upon the accumulated points/goals, being able to only go to a new team that was 6-6 or worse the previous season. I did change the original contract idea to 2 seasons since we're only going to get a few seasons in before 2014.
I know some of you have expressed interest in just staying with the team you're with now, but what I'm also thinking about is accelerating this just so I can get wrinkles ironed out before 2014 drops. I'm already seeing where we're going to have a problem or at least difficulty with who gets to select their new job first.
Anyway, I'm thinking let's go ahead and those with winning records, if offered and want to, can go to a new school but you still must abide by the 6-6 or worse record. For example, Marshall finishes the season 12-2. Florida offers a job to Marshall's head coach, but Florida finished 7-6 so the HC can't accept that offer. However, Iowa finished 5-7 and also wants Marshall's HC. If he's interested he can go to Iowa and coach.
Objections? Idea's? Basically, I want this to be a dry run season for 2014. Those interested in staying will go through the longer process then.
Looks like the end of the season should fall around March 4th. We've got 3 more regular season weeks, CC's, and then Bowl Season. I plan on doing two advances per day in the off season after coaching carousel.
