Success here too.

Seems to be back up and running. My Date and time are now correct instead of saying 12/1/1999.

And for the record, only the original 60 GB's were 100 % backward compatible.
The original 20 and 80 GB systems played about 85% of PS2 games.

Any newer ones will not play any PS2 games.

Fuck that I'm still waiting for the official announcement.

Can't risk it.

had my ps3 for 8 months and had to send it in to get fixed and now this shit....450 bucks and it's been fucked up twice in less then a year and a half.

I don't want to jinx myself, but I have had mine since December of the first year it was released and I never had a problem with it. Now I don't do a lot of downloads and I don't play 1000 hours a week on the system, but it works nicely for me.

Everything is fine now. They messed up big time by not making an official announcement. If i were the makers of the new games coming out tomorrow I would be pushing Sony big time to make an announcement that all is clear.

Not really, just because it works doesn't mean they were done with testing. I'm sure they wanted to make sure that it wasn't going to mess up again once the date changed tonight.
