I do definitely agree with everything else you wrote.

But I have trouble giving anyone credit for owning up to something only AFTER all of there other options were exhausted. He owned up to just enough to lessen his prision sentence. I dont blame him for that obviously, but he would have NEVER owned up to anything if his back wasn't against the wall.

Vick was a role model to so many kids in the league...in no way am I saying it is right for people to rape other people...how many rapist do you know...get caught for rape...and get let out of prison? Evidently you don't know anyone who grew up were dog fighting was big. Understand this is nothing like he was running drugs and constantly making choices that were against the law making him a lifetime criminal who is going to fall back into the life. Dog fighting literally in the culture of some areas, that doesn't make it right or excuse those who participate in it, but it is nothing like so many other crimes that people seem to want to compare his crimes to. Vick fought dogs cause he grew up with it and did not see it as that big a deal, his more severe crime in my eyes was that he chose to lie about it when he had the chance to come clean 2+ years ago at the draft. Personally I believe it is crazy to think he is going to make any of these mistakes again given how much it has changed his life.

I don't think you get it man. How can you possibly see him as acting as if he did nothing wrong. He lost all his money, he is in debt now and will likely stay for some time. And how can you claim to understand how 2 years in jail affects a person? Just because you do not understand how he could have done what he did you judge him to an unchangeable piece of crap? If my work was in a multi-billion dollar industry and I felt like this guy could be a key contrubitor to my company and possibly generate millions of dollars in revenue in the next few years, and I truly felt like he learned his lesson and would be clean, yes I would hire him.

You said, re-hire, but Vick wasn't really re-hired. You can say he is an employee of the NFL and probably technically be correct, but he was basically hired by a different "company".
