Potential Draft Changes
A concern has been brought up by a few people how quickly the draft goes - specifically the first round. I would like to test out the following changes to the draft timer this year:
- Officially start the timer 1 day earlier (3 days before draft in game). Was 2 days.
- No more unofficial extra day since 2 years in a row now we've been stuck on 1 team for the rest of the day and it's just frustrating.
- Increase the round times to the following: 1st (2 hrs), 2nd and 3rd (90m), 4th and 5th (60m), 6th-20th (30m). This gives more time for important picks. Keep in mind if the draft isn't finished by draft time I would have to auto to finish the draft but we've never really had that issue. Also, 90% of teams go on auto after about the 4th or 5th rd anyway but some of us like to still manually pick so I didn't want to butcher those remaining time slots.
Would love some feedback and this is just testing. I'm willing to adjust more next year after we see how things go but I don't want to jump straight to 12hr time slots or something like that because that would require starting the draft very early and right now players are still developing while we draft (this is something that can be disabled but I don't see the need right now).
Thanks.

Re: 2089 Season Thread - Where's the Beef?
Fully expected a couple of guys not to be up to par with how the Beef bats have been over the past 5 seasons. The problem is that guys like Stead, Booth and Watkins have started the season in a terrible slump.
After seeing how the first 2 sims have gone, we are just hoping to get to 88-90 wins this year.

2nd place finish is a no brainer. But 96 wins just doesn't sound feasible to meqazhby wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 10:34 amcalling 96 wins and a 2nd place finish for the beefGeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 10:13 am After seeing how the first 2 sims have gone, we are just hoping to get to 88-90 wins this year.

These times are going to be miserable. Let's just go back to drafting in game.TheGobOne wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 10:06 am Potential Draft Changes
