Hi Seattle, we enjoyed your hospitality, delicious coffee and taking of two of three. I miss our matchups.

What are some of the no-brainer HOF metrics you have?

3000 hits
500 HR's
250 Wins
3000 k's

Steve Moore makes no sense to me why he isn't in.

3000 hits (only one with 3000 hits not in the HOF)
6th all time in SB with 957
12th all time in doubles with 617
3rd all time in triples with 157
30th all time in walks with 1279
28th all time in runs with 1647
8th all time in OBP with .4191

Only 49.2 WAR, but his defense was not good (-200+ ZR) and would have benefited greatly if he was just a DH or moved to 1B

I also think that having a long career even if the peak isn't amazing is still good.

It's hard to be 3-4 war player for 20 years

I also like guys with crazy peaks like McCraw

I am curious about Quinton McCraw
2 rings
3 pitcher of the year award and 3rd place in 2082
4 time all star
Set a record for fewest hits allowed per 9 in a season
He had a late start to his career and injuries are catching up to him though and he will probably only break 50-55ish WAR- is the peak enough to get him in?

I would vote yes, but obviously im bias and can see why people wouldn't vote him in. I just also think there is value is having a guy that is that guy on your team

seems like the HOF bar for pitchers will have to be shifted as they seem to develop later than they used to

Mike "Crafty" McGee ftw!!!

Peaked with B2B Cy Youngs at 24/25 years old but otherwise was a 3 to 4 WAR type dude for the better part of 21 seasons.
