You're not, you're taking it personally and getting defensive and taking shots at me. That's not defending your position. You know that.KShorey wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 7:43 pmOh sorry Shel, I didn't realize I couldn't defend my position.

My whole point for bringing it up was the piss poor way of it being handled. Quite taken back by hey man here's what we agreed on and a response of sorry man, you got screwed. Props for him keeping it real, but what a joke. I even offered to mitigate the problem, in private, and was once again told I'm screwed.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 7:40 pm Still say the best thing is to null and void the trade. Re: Boston-Anchorage Trade (Done 12/18)
Should have posted PTBNL in the trade to give yourself some protection. Draft pick trading isn't allowed, so a backdoor deal shouldn't be enforced on a new owner who had no hand in said backdoor dealing.
Billy won't track trade stipulations. It's right in the rules. It's between the owners. If one owner disappears, it's dead at that point since the deal was never official with the league office. That is exactly what this is. 2 1sts weren't part of the official trade, other owner leaves, deal is dead. It's the risk you take when making backdoor deals.
And there's nothing piss-poor about Rob saying no to it. Again, he had zero part in this deal. It's not his prerogative to follow through on unposted stipulations of a deal that was made before him.

Saying you got screwed isn't "a joke" as you describe it. Some people don't pussyfoot around.KShorey wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 7:50 pmMy whole point for bringing it up was the piss poor way of it being handled. Yeah I mean honestly - it seems like old-Boston fucked over Anchorage by leaving, but I don't see how new-Boston should have to foot the bill

Honest question...
Do these types of deals happen often? If so, this has to be the first one that hasn't gone the right way

None of that is relevant to what I said. Typical of you though. Losing a discussion so you start throwing out useless information.

Shel and Neurotic don't like one another.....check
block one another or something....maybe we can move on
either cancel the deal or the other guy gets screwed and doesn't get his pick.
No reason the new guy should honor a deal he didn't make

Re: Boston-Anchorage Trade (Done 12/18)
Why do we have 3 pages on this shit?
The deal is dead, plain and simple.
I would NEVER expect a new owner to agree to a back door deal that is completely against the rules of draft pick trading.
How is this stuff so complicated for some to comprehend or find the need to go back and forth on it?
It is really simple!
Nullify the trade. Put the players back, Billy can fix any financials and call it a day and for fucks sake, move on already!
Corey is gone. If he was still here, I would take a big issue with him on this as this is a clear violation of the rules, but he is not, nothing can be done to him, it is not Rob's fault and I would never expect Rob to agree to it.
Move one!

Re: Boston-Anchorage Trade (Done 12/18)
What am I missing?
The deal was:
Boston sends:
Dale Farley-SP-R
Anchorage sends:
Neal Herrera-C-MLB-Retains 100%
Move Farley back to Boston
Move Herrera back to Anchorage
Nullify the deal. Act like it never happened. Herrera was already retaining the contract at 100%, so shouldn't be too difficult. Not like moving them back will hurt Anchorage Financially.

Re: Boston-Anchorage Trade (Done 12/18)
Boston takes a hit with fan interest with him moving back to Anchorage, that should be taken care of as well

Re: Boston-Anchorage Trade (Done 12/18)
Well this was all stupid. Draft pick trading is not allowed. If you try to circumvent the rules there is risk and it may blow up on you. I am not reversing the trade and Rob doesn’t owe anyone first round picks. A trade was posted and processed. That’s that
Re: Boston-Anchorage Trade (Done 12/18)
Its kinda nice to now realize why I wasn't able to land Herrera around the deadline. Thats all Imma say. Good day gentlemen.
