While the bullet markings weren't a 100% conclusion that it was Walker's 9mm shot that hit the officer and it made national headlines... everything in this ballistics report supports it to be true. Meanwhile, the DA still wants us to believe that it was friendly fire and that 1 officer swapped weapons in the heat of the moment, fired 1 shot with a 9mm, hit another officer, then proceeded to swap back and use his .40 to add to the exact total shell count. Totally plausible.
