PGA Tour 2k21

Looking forward to hearing reviews on it. I almost pre-ordered 2 weeks ago, but opted for some other games. I was playing NBA 2k a ton until late June, when my work transition took off. Right now it's a time balancing thing, so I'm still kind of limited.

This does kickoff a great run of sports games:
PGA 2K - Today
Madden - Next Week
NBA 2K - The following week
FIFA - Early October

What are people ever happy about on the Internet?

Putting is tricky and a little different from previous versions and takes some getting used to and the game is slightly more penal (yup I said penal) in terms missing your tempo and swing plane but overall it’s very smooth and I’ve enjoyed my rounds .

I had real tough time tho until I figured out short putting.

There's sooooo many settings to tinker with in this game. Good to have options but it's overwhelming to start.

Putting - harder right now but with that 100% meter, it'll eventually be way easier imo. Unless that 100% meter is something that goes away one of those aforementioned settings.

We need to bump this thread to the top where OOTP football is. I am in, will be a month before being able to get on though as my PS4 is locked up in storage and waiting for us to move into our new home on the 15th.

DId Q school, 2 round tournies.

1st round shot +8, missed the cut.

Started again, shot +1 in round 1, than a -5 bogey free 2nd round. I gotta tweak the settings to make it tougher. Does everyone have the 100% ratings bar at the bottom middle of the screen? Is there a setting to turn that off? I like it, but I do feel it makes it super simple to judge shot/putt distance.

I played 3 rounds tonight, went +2, -1, +1

I have it on hardest difficulty in my tour but I think that’s only what the leaders will score not sure it effects your own game.

It’s really smooth and once you can figure out short putting it’s solid. It’s not hard but it’s more severe when you fuckup the swing which I like

Also, there's no way to see how far uphill or downhill a putt is anymore? I'm ok if not, just wondering.


But what I don't like is, I also can't see how far up or downhill any of my shots are, not sure why.

You should be able to see near the distance it says like ^ or down arrow with a number. That’s the elevation. If you hit l1 (on PS4) you can adjust loft and spin and stuff and also see the slope you’re on which is important

I have the bar for putting yeah. I’m not a big fan of it overall, it seems to make hitting longer putts a little too easy but you still have to take into account the uphill and downhill. The greens should have faint arrows going up or down that show you the speed and how steep up or down the hill is based on color (if really steep it should different colors like a contour map almost) and I’m fairly sure near the hole it says up or down as well
