*cough* 5 Year Max *cough* - 10 yrs is insane and no 24/25 in real life would ever sign something like that.
didn't Acuna just sign a pretty team friendly deal?
this is a fantastic league, sure it has flaws, but draft pick trading killed things back in the day and we still feel the ripple effects of this

How? That was decades ago game time
i'd argue some teams got bent over more than others and it took years for some to recover from the power shift, while some never will recover
if i took it a step further, the bigger mistake might have been to only do it for one year (or two, whatever it was)...if we were going to do it, then we should have just been that league that trades draft picks IMO
It was like 40+ seasons ago with mostly new owners.
Essentially 3-4 generations of players, I don't think anyone is feeling any effects from something that long ago. Even the hardest hit team has had 4 decades to figure it out. If they haven't, it's just a bad owner more so than not being able to get over draft pick trading.

Had this rule changed happened a few seasons back, you would have never gotten the chance to sign Mens.
Not gonna lie, but these contracts are getting out of hand in my opinion. We need to make a max contract length, or have a set MLB service time before guys can get locked up, again this is just my opinion.

We just passed a rule on this.
Aaaaanyways, let’s go Minutemen and please let me wake up with a .5 lead on the AL Beast after too many beers on a Thursday night.

When Omaha comes up short of the playoffs he should blame Ted for this atrocious sim for George. Washington gets swept at home by Philly and then goes to Omaha and sweeps them. That likely makes this too much to overcome without a 7-0 type sim for Omaha
