Weird story for the Mets. I guess management wanted Syndergaard to get an MRI before returning and he refused, so the Mets just let him go out and start today.

He was near all-star quality player in 2014 at 2B/3B, but got hurt in 2015 and missed half the season.

He was good-to-very good last year. If he'd stayed healthy and been playing through 2015, he'd probably be a more known quantity/recognizable, especially as a 2B.

Though, he hasn't had a good start to this year before today.
