They are refurbished, but the Kilo looks pretty nice and says it is PS4 compatible out of the box...$40

I buy refurbished, open box, scratch and dent type items all the time.
Refurbished means it was confirmed to meet the factory specs. If there was an issue, they fixed it to meet the factory specs.
I am all about getting things for cheaper.
Both my tvs were open box items and i paid less than the new price and that included the 4 year warranty on each one.

Oh, I'm not knocking refurbished, just making the statement. Like I said, the Kilo looks pretty sweet for $40. Black Ops II motif. Can't tell if the Kilo is wireless though. Thought it was for a minute, but then thought I saw it was wired.The_Niddler wrote:cougnix wrote:They are refurbished, but the Kilo looks pretty nice and says it is PS4 compatible out of the box...$40

I wasn't taking it as a knock. I was simply explaining for anyone that may not know.

Re: PS4 Headsets
I'm confused by the kilo connection. Does it plug into the PS4 controller or do you have to connect it to your TV?
Re: PS4 Headsets
It looks to me that it is the USB connection to the PS4. That's how my P21 is connected.Wasted Memory wrote:I'm confused by the kilo connection. Does it plug into the PS4 controller or do you have to connect it to your TV?

The official Sony one was just released. I just ordered it yesterday. I'll post how it is when it arrives:

Wow, those are some great buys. I just picked up a set a few weeks ago. I wish I would have waited. It's tempting to replace my Logitech PC headset with one of these.

Re: PS4 Headsets
Yea I wasnt sure how good they were but for those huge price drops I would think there is a chance at least one of them is worthy
Re: PS4 Headsets
Picked up the Astro A50's. For the price they better be great and I have to say they are worth every penny. The sound clarity is great. Much better than the Playstation Gold headset. The Gold's frame broke after a year and forced me to buy a new headset.

You sound whoring on COD or something? 300 dollars those things better blow me. I guess when you're Jeff Gordon you can spend money any way you want.OracleHCR wrote:Picked up the Astro A50's. Re: PS4 Headsets
Old thread bump day:
Just picked up the newly released Sony Gold headset over the weekend. Had some Best Buy gift cards burning a hole in my pocket and I liked what I heard regarding how easily they pair up with the system and integrate into the PS4 interface. Haven't had a ton of time with them yet but they're comfortable and lightweight for their size. Fit my head fine with is often an issue since I have a big noggin. They removed the hinged design from the previous Golds which looks to make these a little more robust and less likely to break. The online video reviews show them pretty well. They aren't "the best headset ever" but for $99 they're a very good wireless headset with 7.1 surround built in for the PS4.
