2013 Lady Jaguars Football

All three of my girls are playing Upward Flag Football this season. They wanted to last season but softball got in the way. This year softball was over quickly and they had their first practice today. Since the local football teams do not allow girls this is the only way they can play football. It's going to be fun watching them play. Most of their teammates and opponents are teammates on basketball/softball.

They were having an absolute blast today, the coach has kept the plays simple as to not confuse the girls. The wrist bands have the positions listed and even which way to run. I'll have some videos posted next weekend, their first game is the 17th.

The two older one's both play basketball and softball. My youngest daughter is 7 and she is very, very shy. She has a speech problem and will not talk to people she don't know because she is afraid they will make fun of her. She told me she wanted to play football and she did really good today since it was her first attempt at any sports. She loves running so the Coach had her running a lot.

I need to get both my girls some sports goggles CNasty lol.

Erica lined up in the back field with a girl Erin's size at practice today. It seemed to work once they got it down pat but on the first play she pancaked the lil girl lol they both ran behind the QB at the same time. They thought they were both getting the ball.

Erica and Emily's Week 2 Upward Flag Football Highlights. They are in the Blue jerseys in this game. Both swapped reps at QB and threw TD passes to each other. They also threw an INT a piece and Erica had an INT on defense. Emily had a good day on defense pulling several flags and they won 12-6.
