Sports Streaming Sites
Any good ones left?
I am using AirPlay and mirroring from the mac and the picture quality is great for anything on the browser but looking for any good sites out there if any are left.
First Row seems inundated with ads and popups that you click and they open new windows and never get to the stream.

Re: Sports Streaming Sites
Right now, 1/25/2020:
2 sites that seem to be pretty good with very little ads if any:
http://bilasport.net/index.html
and
https://sportsurge.net/#/groups/0
Footybite is good for anybody that watches soccer. Its where r/soccerstreams went after they got banned
These I use all the time as of 9/2018
Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/nflstreams/
https://www.reddit.com/r/CFBStreams/
https://www.reddit.com/r/MLBStreams/
https://www.reddit.com/r/nbastreams/
https://www.reddit.com/r/NHLStreams/
https://www.reddit.com/r/WWEstreams/
https://www.reddit.com/r/BoxingStreams/
For UFC Streams, they usually show closer to the day ofthe fights with the number, for example UFC225 showed up as:
https://www.reddit.com/r/UFC225_Streams/
This shows up in the reddit.com/r/NFLStreams, but a very good NFL RedZone feed:
http://buffstreamz.com/watch/nfl-9.php
For any of these listed, we recommend using chrome as your browser and adding a chrome extension called Adblock. It gets rid of all the little, annoying ads on these sports streaming sites.
I have not tested the ones below in quite a while, so I hav eno clue if they are still valid.
http://firstrowus.eu/
http://www.vipbox.eu/
http://www.wiz1.net/schedule
http://www.justin.tv/ (I see a few users broadcasting an HD signal. Looks really good!)
http://sportlemon.org/ or http://www.frombar.co - Same company
http://livetv.sx/en/
http://xn--athe-1ua.net/
http://myp2p.ec/
(Pick your sport across the top, then you will see a list of channels towards the bottom of the screen. If you click on the name of the channel or game you want to watch, it will load in your browser window. If you click on the "Watch Live now" link out to the right of each channel/game, it brings up a pop up asking you to install a desktop application.)
http://www.ustream.tv/new/explore/sports
http://Veetle.com
http://www.wiziwig.tv - Closed as of Jan 1st, 2015 due to new laws in Spain.
http://tykestv.eu/ does not appear to be up either.

Is there a trick to get through the ads?The_Niddler wrote:You have to learn to get through the ads, but first row works pretty damn good for me.
That is the only one I use on a regular basis.
There are a few other ones listed here:
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=29206&p=451098&hil ... ng#p451098
First row seems to have a ton of streams which will be nice.
And what we talked about, the mirroring from the Mac to the appletv works flawlessly for streaming anything.

I used firstrow for a long time... but for the last few months, I've been using vipbox.tv. Very similar, less adds. It opens a chat on the side that you can close and if you're not expanding to full screen, there is an option to 'turn of the lights,' which blacks out everything accept the video. This is my go to site on Mondays while I'm in class, if the Reds are playing. (Screw you mlb.tv for blacking out my local team)

I updated my first post with the sites.
I tried them all today to see which ones are still working as of now.

Corey,
So you got the Apple TV and mirroring through a browser using those sites looks good?
I am probably going to go that way myself in our living room.

Re: Sports Streaming Sites
Yes.
I have the blue tooth keyboard and mouse so I run Mac desktop from my living room, find the stream, and then mirror with Air Play on a maximized screen.
Anything on the Mac desktop shows on my big screen. It basically becomes my monitor.it looks better than I expected.
I also ordered one of those leaf antennas uawww recommended for the the abc, fox, CBS,locals in HD for any other sports not on espn and these streams.
I think I'm set if I can make this work and find quality streams like the ones I am watching now from the site reign posted.

Trying out this vipbox.
It looks exactly like first row sports in every way, including me never getting the video up, but succeeding in getting a million popup ads.

This may work out perfectly if we can get more streams like that.
I tested a bunch of the mlb links and it was hit or miss.

Re: Sports Streaming Sites
Not sure if you guys are using this but found a great little tip/work around for the ads if you get them popping up on sites like firstrow and such.
I use chrome for my browser so there is an app called adblock for chrome. Downloaded it and all those ads with fake x's and crap complete disappear the moment you get to a page.
Ive been watching free mlb streams for the past week with zero ads with this set up.
Just spreading the wealth in case you wanted to use it. Works like a charm.

Very nice to know.
I believe if you make the picture full screen that the ads will not pop up also.

Ad Block Plus for Firefox. Version 2.3 I think right now. Use EasyList and FanBoy's list and you're perfectly fine. Plus it makes webpages look SO much better. You can block crap like the facebook and twitter buttons everywhere.

Re: Sports Streaming Sites
I was a Firefox user for a while but really like Chrome much better.
I was using that site you listed and it was hit or miss on quality and ads but with the adblock now, all stream sites I use for MLB are money.
I stream it on my mac and then airplay it to the big screen. I hope there is as many quality NCAAF streams as their are MLB ones and football season will be set.

Re: Sports Streaming Sites
Adblock is awesome. I rarely use my computer anymore, but I ran chrome with Adblock. Not sure if it still does, but it would stop all ads on YouTube and any other sites with ads before videos as well. No more waiting 5-30 seconds for the videos to start.Cnasty wrote:Not sure if you guys are using this but found a great little tip/work around for the ads if you get them popping up on sites like firstrow and such.
