I disagree. My firesale was rather obvious and the only real logical decision for me. But Whit has some stud SPs and some good hitters. He could have worked the trade lines, maybe free agency if he has some cash, and kept at it. If you're consistently winning 90+ and not old as dirt like my team, you have a shot.
Shel you may disagree with me, actually you disagree with a lot of people so this doesn't surprise me much, but how much have I really lost in my "firesale". Yes I lost arguably my 3 best pitchers, but at this point I still have Johnston, Khattabi, and Faubert as my top 3 in my rotation. And as for my hitters, who have I lost?? Mitchell??
Huge hit I took there. For this coming season alone, I just shaved off roughly $45.25 million in salary. Those numbers were going to climb with the back loading of a few of those contracts. I feel my team may still have a shot at playoffs. Maybe not. Who knows? If Dallas can have a firesale, then make playoffs, and win a series, then anything is possible in this game.
