interesting though, obviosuly they felt they couldn't do the max deal for him. To me this says A) must be thinking longterm with Maynor as 2nd PG because James really filled that need last year in his abscence and that martin will just be the off the bench points man. and B) they must really like what they're getting out of the kid we got from Baylor in the draft whose name is escaping me right now...jones? C) Cole Aldrich must be that bad to trust in Thabeet as #2 5 for the season unless they're planning on doing some more dealing. The trading more players for some draft picks though tends to make me think they bring Orton back in having just cut him to get back to 15.
I actually think this is not a bad deal at all for OKC. They'll obviously miss the scoring that Harden gave them but Martin will give them some solid points off the bench and if Lamb pans out at all then they'll be getting pretty much what they had with Harden at a lower price.
I don't know.. when I asked about Lamb, Driccio didn't compare him to Harden, he compared him to Rich Hamilton if I remember right. And some of the numbers I have seen about Harden in terms of efficiency, and offensive ability is pretty impressive.
I just hope as a Rockets fan, that Harden can handle the pressure of being the #1 guy, because that is what the Rockets are considering him.
And that scoreboard is awesome, but man I bet tickets are now even that much higher to watch a Rockets game.
