Trendon and Jason are definitely off the list.

In honor of Trendon's Apple hatred, I'm posting here about the Sony Walkman I just picked up using my Sony credit card points.

NWZ-W262. MP3 integrated into sport headphones for the gym/jogging/whatever. Super easy to get music onto it (drag and drop). More practical than even a shuffle that I'd have to clip to my shirt at the gym. Comfortable and lightweight (1.2 oz). Sweat/water resistant. You lose Apple.

Random internet pictures of the NWZ-W262.

I didn't buy them for good looks, I bought them for usefulness at the gym. Having a headphone cord snaking around and an MP3 player in a pocket or clipped to your shirt is awful for working out.

I considered blu-tooth headphones and players but they're much more expensive.

I said it before and I will say it again....

I am by no means pro apple, but when I was in the market for a smart phone, they sold the best one, in my opinion, that my hard earned dollars could by at that time.
When I was in the market for a tablet, again, their ipad2 was the best one on the market.

So from a technology standpoint, I don't get why you say they are bad Trendon.

They do what every other company does.
The Transformer Prime was not a HUGE improvement over the original Asus Transformer.
It just came out at Christmas and still does not offer a USB connection. When Apple did that with their iPad 2's, people wanted to hang them for not offering a USB connection.

They nickel and dime you to death on accessories.
I know, from my first iphone to my current one, I had to buy new accessories like charging cords because they switch a wire to make you buy new accessories, but so does just about every other manufacturer.
Harley Davidson makes Harley Davidson branded EVERYTHING! From jackets to boots to toilet paper!
I ride a Triumph motorcycle, they do the same thing.

I don't hate them for it.
Think from a business perspective for a minute.
What would you do in their situation?

I know, you will say that you would offer your customers a free charging cord if it had to change for some reason or you would keep it the same to benefit your customer.

BULLSHIT! Apple, like every other company out there in any product base is out to do one thing, make money and be successful.

I do not and cannot blame them for that. I would like to think that I would offer my customers a free charge cable too, till I realize we have 10 million customers and charging them for another power cord at $30 a pop will make our company $300,000,000 dollars alone.

If they are so bad from a technology standpoint, please, explain to me how HTC, HP, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft, etc. are any better!
What are those companies doing that Apple is not that makes them so much better in your opinion?

And as far as the lawsuits, you would do the same thing if you were in their situation with their money and power. They are protecting their investment, technology, etc.
As Dave stated, it is an eat or be eaten world in technology!

Show me another product like an iPod shuffle that is small and works as reliably for me when I am at the gym!
Show me a company that gives me customer service like Apple does. Now, I will say, you have to buy their Apple care warranty to recieve that care, but I have dealt with Samsung, Sony and Microsoft in the past with warranty's and 100% honest, they cannot hold a candle to the Applecare.

If I do have an issue with my Apple product, I schedule an appointment at the Genius bar, I leave their either with my product working or a brand new one no questions asked!

Warranties are for pussies. Rebuild the motherfucker. I broke my battery, $30 and its completely fixed. Nick 1, Apple Warranty LOLOLOL 0

and shuffles were pretty shit. the fact you were subjected to a random shuffle everytime you played the thing isn't intriguing but more of a burden imo.

I actually love having it on random. I load it up with a bunch of stuff I want to work out to and I go to it.
As far as warranties, say what you want, but I buy them on just about anything that I buy, if the price of the warranty makes sense.
I am not going to spend $150 for a warranty on a $300 item, but I will spend $70 on a warranty for something that is $400 or so.
