I personally love it when people use in game photos and videos to talk about our game - 6ft set the gold standard in my eyes with his ESPN pieces last season.

I'd have fun providing assets for big games and other stuff. Gives me another excuse to play more

Man doing that shit takes a lot more time then you would think. I tried to do it last season for a week 8 GOTW...and when your recording you make 1 little mistake you gotta start all over.

By no means am I set up to do that kind of execution - I can play both sides of the ball, get highlights for both teams and save the videos that EA generates. Thats wayyyyy too time consuming to record games and do video editing. I'll be a Poor Man's 6ft basically ahaha

I haven't spoke up yet.. just cause I hadn't decided if I was gonna do these this season..
Cause fact is they take me forever .. Last season I would spend an avg of 2 days work putting these things together, if not more.. ANd always wanted to add more and do better stuff.. So it just got overwhelming to get one in each week. My fault no one told me to do it.. but once I did I enjoyed it. but they are time consuming. Could do these as a freelance type thing, and probably could do more if someone did the ground work on the vids like vt said he could above. Because sometimes just finding vids of the teams took a while, vids that were usable anyway. Basically just assisting in the ground work or something to cut the time drain.

The videos are always nice...but I think we should focus on keep the weekly stories up to date first. I'm gonna open up articles to whoever wants them. Post and claim your stake. Here are the remaining topics:

Game of the Week (even weeks)

Interception Challenge
The Next 25

I don't expect to do ALL of these articles. Let's take the guys we have so far and and make a good run at getting these done weekly. Friday would be an ideal time to have stories in as that's usually when weeks open up. I think GOTW and upset alert are top priority though on what's remaining.

set them up as every 4 games instead. schedule might be:

1st 4
1st 8
then after conference champioship/bowls.....

Got some ideas for the article but will also go back and gain a perspective of how the article used to flow.

That is all I will do for now though as I have a non-friendly work schedule to anyone that wants to lead a normal life.

Take a look at the NDL:ESPN section and especially past articles for Game of the Week. There is no right or wrong way to do it. It's however you want to present it. Try to get the articles in on Friday when the weeks open up for the following week before the game is played. Just have fun with it. Any questions PM me or message me on AIM UTLonghorn2099.
