RTTS thread

Post by ajalves »

Just throwing up a thread where guys can shoot the bull about their persoanl RTTS guys.

Mine

POS - RF (OF)
BATS/THROWS - R/R
HITTING LEVEL - All-star
GUESS PITCH - none

Played pretty average in the showcase games. Didnt get drafted until the 7th round. Drafted by the Mariners. Playing for the Jackson Generals in AA. About 40 games in. I dont remember exactly, but I'm hitting around .350 with 9 HRs and 45ish RBIs.

I am not doing fielding or baserunning. Boring. not to mention I cant seem to figure out exactly how to run the bases without getting constantly picked off.

Veteran level? I need to put in some time in the cage before I start, played 1 exhibition and then 1 round of practice for a bit, and i'm struggling with the timing, though it's nothing new, there's always an adjustment on getting the hitting timing down after not playing for a while.

Position: shortstop
Throws/bats: R/S
Hitting level: veteran
Guess pitch: none

Played average in the showcase games and was selected by Tampa in the 6th round and went back to school. Played better second time around and was taken by the Dodgers in the third round.
26 games in with th Chattanooga Lookers and I lead the league in HR's with 16 and have a .426 BA.(I need to up the hitting difficulty). I do play the field but do not run the bases. I have a .993 fielding percentage with one throwing error.

I think I'm using the same hitting level, but can't remember.

Thirdbaseman, R/R
Drafted in 5th round to the Mariners and also playing in Jackson for the Generals.
Played 3 games. Started 0-4, then 2-3, then 5-6

In the last game batted for the cycle, got the triple in my last at-bat. Finished with 5 RBI's and DIDN'T get the Topps player of the game? WTF? Michael Saunders got it going 4-5 with 6 RBI's and a HR. Are you kidding me?
I have actually worked some full counts and even walked in the showcase.

Playing LF
Bat Right
Drafted in the 6th by the royals.

Called up to triple A. It's going rough after a good double A run. Hit .387 down there. Round .250 in triple A.

3B, R/R

Did very bad the first rookie showcase (went 0/9 in first two games w two errors), got taken 6th round by the Royals. Went to school for a year, did really well in showcase....and got taken 6 picks higher by the Padres

Only 5 games in but hitting over .350 with a HR and 5 RBI, on a team that has an average around .220 . Ended the night by hitting a two out, two run double off the wall in the 10th to give us a 5-3 lead and the win.

2B
All Star level

Got a single in my first showcase AB, then finished up like 0 for my next 13 lol. I just can't catch up to a fastball I strike out or hit it right to the 1B or RF everytime.

Best part is that I still got drafted in the 2nd round. Do you normally get drafted by the team you select as your favorite? Cards took me with the last pick in the 2nd round, not sure what I'll do yet.

20games
. 154
7 runs
4 2b
1 3b
0 hr
6 rbi

Time to hit the proverbial show batting cage.

You guys use x to swing mostly or mix it up with the power and swing options? A pet peeve of this franchise is the power/contact swing. Just swing!

Same here.

I find I can't check my swing nearly as on other versions and I'm chasing too many pitches, but mainly, I just can't catch up to the fastball.

I've had 2 swings that actually checked... the other 12 or so were strikes. Checking isn't easy.
