Re: BLOPS 3
Any good? My son wants to buy it for my PS4. First kid to ask me to buy a game to play on my system. They have their own 360. Not sure I will handle sharing

I should be back home next Saturday. Will definitely have to get it, mostly for my son because I will only get to play it for 3 weeks before heading out for a year.

Downloading it now. Will definitely be on later this evening, probably after you old men on the east coast go to bed.

Re: BLOPS 3
Playing hard core Domination and Bama walks in front of me as I launch a nice volley from my war machine as he is throwing a grenade. I kill him and he kills 2 on our team with the dropped grenade. Probably the most kills I have had in a 2 second span .

Re: BLOPS 3
Is there a way to find out how much data is used when playing this game? I'm bored as hell during my time off or when we have weather days when we can't fly. We can get a 15GB wireless card to use for $30 bucks, and if it is not too big then I might just have to start playing. Can anyone check it out when you are playing

Re: BLOPS 3
Might as well give it a try. I mean you are the guy bringing 5 grand to Vegas for a weekend trip. What's 30 dollars to you playa?

Re: BLOPS 3
It's $3-5k, that includes hotel and airfare as well (which I looked at it's around $1500-2000 depending on where we stay).
I'm most likely buying a PS4 for out here, gotta have something to do. We don't even have Armed Forces Network here, our "cable provider".

No clue when you are looking, but I just looked for June 10, 11 and 12th nights (Busier time of year):
Planet Hollywood
$166 - $183 per night for a nice room with a King size bed.
Bellagio
$265 - $300 per night with a King size bed.
So:
$900 max for a room.
$500 total for airfare using Southwest, Denver to Las Vegas.
$1400 total for airfare and hotel, the rest is spending money on food, shows, gambling.
Planet Hollywood is probably my favorite place to stay though, so if you did that instead of Bellagio that would be $550 for hotel instead of $900.
Making it now $1050 for hotel and airfare.
I am assuming, with airfare, you can get back to the states and Denver using military airlines.

They fly me back commercially. I will leave out of Erbil, Iraq.I am assuming, with airfare, you can get back to the states and Denver using military airlines.

Tomatoes Potatoes. I think we are doing July 22nd thru the 25th. Price is $1737 with resort fees for 2 travelers flying from Omaha. So that leaves us with $1300 for the weekend to spend if we stay on the low end, and assuming from what all you are all saying that should be enough? That's around $400 per person per 24 hours. Gambling, dinner, shows, bunny ranch.....
Spoiler!

Re: BLOPS 3
I'm not leaving from Denver. I am leaving from Omaha. Going there the weekend prior for a wedding. Then we are going to spend 4 days in Chicago, catch a White Sox and possibly a Cubs game and dick around up there before heading back to Omaha. My son will be staying with family there as we have no family in Colorado Springs.

Re: BLOPS 3
Didn't know Southwest flew straight from Omaha to Vegas. Checked it out and I save a couple of dollars going that route. I'm sure prices will change by the time my R&R is approved. They have me leaving the day of the wedding, need to leave at least 3-4 days prior.dakshdar wrote:Southwestvacations.com

Re: BLOPS 3
It seems like the Bellagio is the big price in the total. I know some comparable hotels are a little less (maybe save you $100 per person for the trip), but haven't stayed at them myself, and Bellagio is in a good location on the strip which is important as well.

Re: BLOPS 3
We have gotten off topic.....
This is for the original BLOPS (would this hold true for BLOPS3?):
This is for the original BLOPS (would this hold true for BLOPS3?):
It's almost a universal that online shooters have a bandwidth level of about 10kbits/s up and 60kbits/s down, for the average client. For the host, that changes to 60 kbits/s up and 10kbits/s down per player, which is why you can't host more than 12 players if your line isn't faster than 896kbits/s upload (which settles to a cruise level of about 700 kbits/s)
So, if you're the client, you'd be drawing around 60 kbits/s, which is
60*3600 kbits/hr, so in 2 hours you'd use
120*3600kbits, which is 432,000 kbits or about 432 Megabits, or 420 megabits, depending on whether a megabit is 1 million bits or 2^20 bits.
Note that's not MB, which is read "megabyte," in which there's 8 megabits, if you use the same "mega" convention; because 8 bits = 1 byte. 432 Megabits would equal about 54 megabytes (MB). But I doubt your line has a maximum download listed in Megabytes, because providers measure speed in bits not bytes.
If your line had, say, a 20 Gigabit download limit, you could be a COD client for maybe 90 hours before hitting it. Then there's the possibility that COD might range as high as 100kbits/s or as low as 50kbits/s for client. Then you have usage ranging from
300Mbits to 500Mbits download
50 to 80 Mbits upload
as client for 2 hours;
500 to 800 Mbits download;
3,000 to 5,000 Mbits upload;
if you host a 10-player room for 2 hours. Yow!
Source(s):
bandwidth monitors. Use a search engine to download a free one, and you can pinpoint the exact level of dl and ul yourself on your pc. Make sure COD is the only thing using bandwidth and you'll get reliable numbers

I heard its a good hotel and great location, which is important to me. I want to be able to have the most fun without having to travel the furthest distance to get to different hotels.
