how to get ladder game credit if opponent not accepting

Post by Nole4real »

Also...I see quite a few games reported and not accepted/denied.

This always use to bother me as it makes the ladder NOT up to date.

I'm going to try an honor system here...kinda

If you play a game and its not accepted within 2-3 hours....you can PM me...AND COPY the opposing coach on the PM and I can do an admin accept of the game.

I'd prefer that the losing coach accept/confirm the game right after its played ..but i know life gets busy sometimes

fyi - you can do this for games you currently have pending right now

I don't really care that much, but I don't think I got points for my first win. I guess there were errors or something with the calculations, but it was a BvB game I and I won, but I don't know the formula for points. Anyway, if you could look at it cool, if not I guess I Shit outta luck...

I legitimately think the ladder system is broken. There is no point in playing as the home team. Check out who is at the top of the standings and they play the majority of their games on the road. I have gone 2-1 using equal rated teams and if it wasn't for a mistake and them having me at 3-1, then I would have negative points. Their is too much emphasis on home/away.

For me, I really just look at my record to track how well I'm doing.

I'm not smart enough to figure out the points system, so I don't worry about it, lol.

from what I remember, the original setup was done when the "home field advantage" was a little over done, and it was to combat that

good point...this was from 2007 or 2008 when HFA was in effect

we can get rid of the home/away points if we wanted

Could you do it and make it retroactive, or would it just be going forward?

HFA still matters, just not all teams have great HFA, some do , some dont.. that is just the way it is..
But it still has an effect, I willing to bet, while it may not be huge, your team still seems to perform better at home, now it may not have a big impact on the away team, but it is still there.

Only the really big schools known to be great at home, have huge impacts on the away teams.

I'm interested in playing a ladder match, so if some one would like to play let me know. Do I have to sign up or anything? I need the practice.

Hey man. Just click on ladder on the left of these forums, and I'm pretty sure you can just sign in from there with your regular sign in and you're good to go.

As for getting a game, you can make a post in the "wanna play" section of the forums.
