Scouting Evaluation

There is a feature in the settings that I have not seen but not sure how new it is. It says would you like stats to be a part of your scouting evaluation of a player and how they view the player. We never had this before but to me it seems cool and makes some sense. There is another setting called player evaluation AI settings that are as follows:

Ratings weight 40%
This years stats 30%
Last years stats 25%
2 years ago stats 5%

I am not totally sure but I would imagine it would be something similar. To me it makes sense to turn this on and I will set age limits to each level to alleviate any concerns of old guys killing SA and impacting your scouts view.

It is important to understand that this is your scouts view and not what the actual players ratings are behind the curtains.

I could be wrong, but I thought this was how your coaches evaluate players?

The ability vs tools scouting is what determines how your scout sees a guy

There is a setting in OOTP23 (not sure about 22) but it is under scouting settings and it says "incorporate stats in scouting reports."

Intresting, honestly that must be new.

I feel like it still should be heavily weighted towards ratings otherwise you would get some weird scouting reports.

I would think it is. I don't know what the formula is. The data I posted was in a different section under AI player evaluations so I think its probably something close to that but not sure. I kind of like that breakdown but it can be changed. Should not matter for us though since we are not AI run teams.

The ratings weights thing has been around for a as long as I can remember

Pretty certain we always had stats incorporated with ratings.

Yes I thought that’s what we were talking about. Didn’t realize we meant each individual.

It’s one reason I always said guys shouldn’t be so caught up in overalls.
