2038 Hall of Fame Voting Results
28 votes cast for a total of 214 players , tying the highest total ever. A record 11 ballots with the max of 10 votes.
Breakdown..
And the verdict....
The results...
Yellow Header= INDUCTED
Green Header= Stay on Ballot
Red Header= Time Expired, Off Ballot
Blue Header= Not Enough Votes, Off Ballot
My thoughts..
Albany and Cincinnati each grab their 2nd HOF inductee, while Winterfell capitalizes on their recent post-season success with a HOF induction, further building their brand.
Sad day in Philadelphia, Gibbons and PAB both off the ballot. Gibbons second-highest average total pct. behind Jose Lopez for 10-ballot fails.
Wu makes a good jump, but falls short with just 1 year remaining.
Thomas stays the same roughly.
Besides McCarty, lot of 1st-timers hovering around 30%.
2 premier catchers hanging neck-n-neck.. almost 30 seasons in and no catcher yet in HOF.
Crow notices a drastic decline, as does Xin and Pacheco.
In the year that Ken Griffey Jr. became the first MLB #1 overall pick to make it to the HOF, McCarty becomes our 3rd, along with Rags and Big Cheese.
Thanks for voting.
