Season 28 - NDL Cup

****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

ROUND 1: (4-8, 2 byes)

WINNERS
Alabama - A first round bye... like they needed it.

Texas A&M - See above.

Arkansas - The Razorbacks put the almighty fear into the Commodores, winning via forfeit.

Georgia - What's better than a commish? The champ... and the champ is here... Georgia knocks off the Bearcats!

South Carolina - The Gamecocks handled the Colorado Buffaloes with ease, winning 24-7.

Florida - The Gators fall behind in the 1st, but storm back for 17 points in the 2nd quarter and then roll to victory over the North Texas Not-So-Mean Green.

LOSERS
Vanderbilt - Vandy didn't really lose, they just didn't show up... that's even worse.

Auburn - The Tigers put up a good fight, but lost 24-34 to a very good Notre Dame team.

Kentucky - The Wildcats had a case of the 'sudden' blues (hey yo!)... as the Clemson Tigers proved to be the real big cats.

Tennessee - DUCK! Oh no, that was the Oregon Ducks. The Volunteers got steamrolled.

Missouri - The Tigers waved the white flag before stepping onto the field... absolutely intimidated by the Stanford Cardinal.

LSU - In one of the top matchups of the first round, the LSU Tigers blew a 16 point lead with under 5 minutes left on the clock, to take the loss to the USC Trojans.

Mississippi St. - The Bulldogs put up over 400 yards of offense, but the 3 turnovers proved too costly as they lost to Virginia 34-35.

Mississippi - Ole Miss decided to Rebel against playing the game... so they took the loss as well.

****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

ROUND 2: (3-0, 3 games undecided)

WINNERS
Alabama - The Tide finally play a game... though considering their 4 forced turnovers, we can question how much of a game it really was. Roll Tide... 28-7 over Oregon State.

Texas A&M - What's better than a first round bye? A second round bye! TAMU enjoys the forfeit from the Indiana Hoosiers and coach LetsNotGoPlay.

Georgia -Those pesky Viginia Cavaliers don't knock off the Bulldogs 2 weeks in a row... Georgia plays the role of Bulldog Avenger, taking them out 34-21.

UNDECIDED:

Arkansas -

South Carolina -

Florida -

Thanks... I'd like to do POTW, but it's really tough with the limited amount of games played. Hopefully, as more get in, I'll add that.

Yeah, unfortunately we've got 7 teams with 2 or less games played... not exactly much for me to report on there. With that said, I'm going to stalk some guys down this weekend. The rest of the league may be ok with half-assing it, but I'm not going to let everyone slide that easily.
